Service & seating was prompt & energetic. Menu was classic Thai and we settled in for a meal which much anticipation.
Our first tip that everything was not to be as expected was when our server explained we could "season our food to our own spice tolerance" with spices to be proved at the table - not cooked with spices to order. Of course, this placed a damper on our enthousiasim which was well founded as the fairly un-spiced Tom Yum came out - very blah as far as Thai food goes. Other dishes fell into the same category - they tasted "ok" & familiar but not very exceptional Thai.
We were told that "the mama" was in charge of kitchen and as the evening progressed and place filled up "mama" must've been worn out.
Someone needs to tell Mama that the "standard: 5-Level Thai spicy ordering system needs to be adhered to in the kitchen. Number 4 Spicy is pretty universally understood - adding spices after being served is pretty lame and does NOT taste "Thai cooked".
Like I wrote, with a little tweaking, this will be a great place but not before.
I will re-visit as the service was VERY energetic & cheerful!
