“Very Nice Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 15, 2013

My wife and I went to Richardson to help our daughter pack up her apartment for the end of the school year. The great treatment started with David checking us in. He made sure we were well cared for and get the proper reception. We were brought a bottle of wine as a benefite of my Marriott status that was of good quality.

The breakfast buffet the next morning was well stocked and very clean. The rotating waitstaff all make sure we were attended to and my coffee cup never empty. This was a pleasure filled stay.

Room Tip: See if you can get a room that is not on the atrium. They are more isolated and tend to be more qui...

This is a nice hotel, if a little dated. Staff are very helpful and friendly. Location is good beside main highway and a Dart train station. There is also plenty of parking on site.

Food is excellent, but if your not a big breakfast person I would recommend the onsite Starbucks for breakfast. Its alot cheaper.

I have long sent my execs to stay here on business trips and recently had the pleasure of staying for a night myself in one of their junior suites. I was completely impressed with what I considered a first class experience. The room was beautiful and spacious and had all of the little extras a traveler might need. The staff was incredibly helpful and courteous, which one might not always expect when accompanied by two dogs. And for me, the icing on the cake was having a lush and well lit area within just a few steps to walk my pets...with a "bag" station that was completely stocked. Maybe it's just me, but I almost NEVER find that!!! :) From start to finish, first rate accommodations!!!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - I love the special touches with artistic flower arrangements, fluffy bathrobes, and roomy bathroom! The concierge lounge was under construction, so we were offered breakfast in the lobby restaurant, which was very good. Looking forward to staying here again!

We stayed here for 2 nights in a suite room with a king bed. Overall, the stay was very good & the room was pretty nice. It had a couch, chair, mini-fridge, microwave, & sink area in the entry Room. Bathroom, with Aveeda products, was in the middle, & a separate bedroom in the back. The bed, pillows, & linens were very comfortable & the A/C worked well. Husband used the gym & said it was large & a good one.

My biggest issue with the room was the noise from outside. Even on the 7th floor, we could hear the traffic all night. The bedroom area had lots of large windows, which were great for getting decent light in the room, but their sound-proofing was severely lacking. If you stay here, consider bringing a white noise machine.

The room was clean, bathroom was large, & the staff we encountered were friendly & professional. They have a parking garage for self-parking & it's free for guests. They also have valet parking but I don't know the cost for that.

The location of the hotel makes it fairly easy to get to other parts of the metro area--we went to Frisco & Allen without too many traffic issues. We also went to Ft. Worth & the return trip was a nightmare--took nearly 1 1/2 hours b/c of the mess that is 635. I really don't know how Dallas folks keep their sanity with all that constant construction along that freeway. There is a DART station right outside the hotel but we didn't use it b/c it didn't go to the areas we were visiting on this trip.

From the up front help in checking in with David to the Concierge lounge. The people are wonderful. I am also very impressed that there are Chefs on site taking care of the food in the Concierge lounge.

The hotel is perfectly located for doing business in Richardson. The hotel is nice, though the decor is somewhat dated. The front desk staff and the restaurant staff are very courteous. The service in the bar/lounge area is very slow. The rooms are spacious. The bed was OK. The gym was reasonably well equipped; I had everything I needed to get a good workout.
