“Meets the needs of business traveler”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 1, 2011

Stayed at the Summerfield Suites in Richard (across the highway from the Ericsson complex) earlier this year (March through June); Monday through Friday, every week, during a four-month project in town. I found the Summerfield to be an excellent long-term hotel. Rooms were spacious, clean, and consistently furnished, so I always knew what to expect for each stay. In fact, one week I was accidently given reservations by my company at a different hotel, and spent only one night there before packing up and getting myself over to the Summerfield! Rooms had kitchenettes with fridges & microwave, and reliable internet connection and adjustable worklamp at the desk for work in the evening on my laptop. Staff friendly and always helpful. Place always seemed well patronized by engineers and businessmen from companies in the area. Close by many good restaurants (as well as a Half-Price Books store). The Summerfield here is a home run, in my opinion. Will consider it first, if I am in the area again for business or vacation.

Room Tip: Only one of the buildings (building 5?) in the facility has an elevator; other buildings on site are...

Rooms were too small , not so good ambiance though they were clean... shower curtain was damaged , Detergant dispensing machine was out of order for so many days with no professional answer to the question "when it will be fixed".. However location is good and convenient with some eating joints around , lot of corporate offices close by .. Staff was overall good

This is a nice property - rooms are spacious and are nicely equipped. Convenient access to highways etc. Breakfast was decent as well. No real surprises, would stay there again

I checked into this hotel after hours for an extended stay. The attendant was super nice and even gave me a free pint of ice cream. The rooms are large offering a kitchen, free wifi, free breakfast and and evening dinners. The staff was incredibly helpful with area attractions. I would definitely return to this hotel. It was only about a 20 min drive from the airport and restaurants nearby.

Room Tip: You will need a car for this location.

Booked this hotel because "pets allowed". At check-in, we were told "oh you didn't know..there's a $200 fee for pets". Otherwise average hotel.

This is an excellent place to stay while on business to Dallas/Richardson area. Easy access to highway and convinient location for restaurants makes this an ideal location. The rooms and the facility are excellent and the area appears to be fairly safe. Parking is convinient and the morning breakfast is fair. All in all a good place to stay.
