“So cajun, thought I was in south Louisiana.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 7, 2013 via mobile

Looks just like a cajun bar & grill in south Louisiana. Real dumpy from the outside with a dirt parking lot. The restroom is even on the outside of the building. The inside is your basic concrete floor with bare metal tables with a big roll of paper towels and various plastic chairs. The best place ever to eat a big pan of crawfish. Husband had the "hugh" ribeye and grilled butterfly shrimp, a steal at $23. The steak a perfect med rare and shrimp grilled to perfection. I a cup of crawfish etouffee. Just the right kick and perfect color. Also had fried crawfish tails, so good it makes my mouth water just thinking about it. Mine was less than $11.00. Service was excellent. It is a byob place at lest with the table next to us. The server even provided a cork screw. Can't wait to go back.

“WOWSERS!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 9, 2012

Once you get past the initial trepidation you might feel by the dusty parking lot and seemingly unfinished structure that is this eatery, you're in for a feasting treat.

Restauranteur Seth Bowdoin, as the story goes, was displaced by Hurricane Katrina and somehow wound up in rural East Texas. Lucky for those East Texans! I was visiting relatives in late June and they insisted, "Ya' gotta experience this!" And they weren't shuckin' me - my only advice? Go there starving because you simply won't want to stop eating once you get going.

Ribs to absolutely die for; monster-sized shrimp cooked to perfection; and fantastic appetizers to include alligator and 'atomic' mushrooms. Everything is seasoned and prepared with a master's touch - I have nothing but praise for the variety, service, and presentation. Oh yes, and it's BYOB, which was an interesting touch.

Kudos to Seth and crew - you know what you're doing, man - you're a truly amazing chef!

“Best Little Seafood Dive in East Texas”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2012

The best selection of foods anywhere around and definately the best seafood ever. The boiled shrimp is scrumptious and if you're brave enough you can try the SPICY boiled mushrooms. This is our new little found jewel hidden in the piney woods of East Texas. Hope some day Diners, Drive-ins and Dives will happen up on this place. You must try 'Seth's Lake Fork Creek Steak & Seafood' just south of Quitman Texas on Hwy 37.
