Six of us stayed in #216 (one bedroom). It was wonderful. The room has a HUGE jacuzzi tub and plenty of room. There are bunkbeds built in to the wall along with a hide-a-bed sofa. It was very clean and nicely decorated. All proceeds from this condo go to the sea turtle foundation. The wall facing the ocean is one huge window. This allowed you to see the ocean from everywhere.
You are a few miles out of Port A. but on the island. You are right off of North Padre Island so you can reach corpus by the JFK causeway if you don't want to bother with ferry lines. This also gives you a quieter, less populated beach. Being by itself allows for the ocean breeze (which gets lost between the buildings in town). The pools are nice and big. We often had a pool to ourselves. One pool is 2 1/2 feet deep which is great for little ones. The boardwalk is taken care of and lighted with a wash off station. The only draw backs are the one very slow elevator and the need for repainting on the outside. It is an older condo.
TIPS: eat at Moby Dicks. See an outside concert at Pelican's Landing. The helicoptor tour down the street is fun! Hit the grocery store right before the Causeway b/c Mayan has no restaurant. Play plenty of Larry Joe Taylor while you're there.
