“Really good and cheap. No atmosphere.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 6, 2013

Breakfast-really great breakfast tacos. Even better when the cook doesn't "wrap" the cheese into the foil (taco aficionados know what I mean!). Beware, they get a hefty charge to "add" cheese.
Dinner-Try the taquitos. LOTS of food for a really great price: three (corn tortilla) tacos filled with carne asada topped with fresh cilantro (ask for some fresh chopped onion!), charro beans & rice with a large grilled jalepeno on top! YUM!
Queso-largely inconsistent --sometimes it's runny, sometimes a smooth & thick consistency, but definitely tasty!
Chips & salsa-their chips are a bit thicker and cornier than most, but they hold the salsa and queso very well.
Drinks: Ice cold longnecks and margaritas are the staple, but they do have a full bar. Try a "Corona-rita" (Corona bottle dumped into a Margarita) or "Dos-a-rita" (Dos Equis dumped into a Maragarita). Sounds weird, but they are actually quite tasty!
Best advice: Call ahead for to-go orders. Summer especially can get very busy (especially fishing tournament weekends).
The only reason I didn't give it a 5 is the atmosphere. They are located in a strip center and the lights inside are very bright. I know they have tried removing some bulbs, but it still is way too bright! Also, the last time we ate inside, smoking was allowed on one half of the restaurant. It's just one big room, so you really are not doing the non-smokers any favor!

“Good food @ a great price”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013 via mobile

My husband and I ate here and didn't leave hungry. The bill was under $20 for the both of us. He got the beef and shrimp fajitas, and I got the cancun chicken and vegetables. Very good!! No complaints from us. We will now make this a regular for our trips to Port A.

“Lots of Food for the Price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 8, 2013

While spending time in Port A we decided to give the Cancun a try for a late lunch. It happened to be $1.50 margarita day and we ordered two lunch specials. The wait staff are polite but somewhat hard to undersand. The restaurant itself is a bit noisy...could use something to baffle the noise level. Overall we were served quicklly and it was hot and our plates were full. If you're hungry, definitely OK for the price. The restaurant itself is fairly new with tiled flooring and a bar. I'm sure we'll go back again.

“Typical Mexican Cantina”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 22, 2012

The food was good and the value was acceptable, but it was really just comparable to your typical average Mexican restaurant. The portions were large. Chips were thick and nothing special. Dinners were average.

“Love their crispy tacos.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012 via mobile

Best crispy tacos in the island. Good texmex. Good piña coladas. Fast service.

We first came here about 8 years ago. Loved the food but couldn't stand the cigarette smoking in the restaurant. They have changed to non smoking and we go several times during our vacation time in Port A.
