“Nice little out of the way place”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 27, 2013

Food was very good. The place was slow when we came for lunch. Wait staff was freindly. A little on the spendy side, but the wife was happy and that is a good thing.

“Best Food on the Island”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

This quaint restaurant has become my favorite place to dine when visiting Port Aransas. Dishes include fresh fish,, shell fish, salads, oysters on the half shell and the best gumbo on the island. The menu is not overwhelming and easy to read. The waitstaff was most helpful and when I couldn't decide between 2 entrees, she offered to substitute/add to get me the best of both. If you are looking for an elegant, "fancy", place to eat then go somewhere else. This is a friendly, laid back environment and I'll be going back. Prices are quite reasonable. Beer is served.

“Good Food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 25, 2013

I like this place. When they decide to serve breakfast it is a good one. The problem is you never know if they are serving breakfast this week or have decided to shoot for dinner instead. I have walked up to the door more than once only to read the sign that changes, on a regular basis, telling me they are opening for lunch and dinner or dinner only.
If you hit them when they are open the food is good--better than most on the island.

“Not formal - fun”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 23, 2013

Enjoyed the meal. Got there late they were welcoming. Wait staff not too much help with menu - please do not tell me the menu is good. If I ask I want to know - the meal was fine we had Mahmahi stuffed flounder and surf and turf - steak was good yet unspectacular - what you would expect for $20 surf and turf shrimp was excellent.

Place is kind of funky and fun - owner mgr very friendly and checked on us several times

“Great meal!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 8, 2013

We had a wonderful dinner at the Beach/Station. Very few eateries were open on the island since it was close to Christmas. However, we were not let down! Awesome food!
