Wonderful menu especially for a beach area. We all enjoyed excellently prepared veal dishes. We had a reservation which can be a must at various times. This is a good couples atmosphere. Wish they had a full bar instead if only wine and beer.

We arrived at the Venetian Hot Plate at 7:30pm on a Friday night without a reservation. The wait for a dining room table was an hour - should have made reservations! But we were able to be seated in the small bar area right away. The food was excellent! I wouldn't bring children (or even teens) here because (1) it is a bit pricey and (2) the food is probably too "fancy" for them and they wouldn't appreciate it. Reservations are highly recommended.
Italian food so so good If your looking for great place to eat try this place for sure.. NOthing to dislike
We did not expect to encounter fine dining of this caliber in a small beach town. The owner Linda worked alongside and led her staff. I was impressed with the teamwork and attention to detail. The tenderloin with gorgonzola and the scallops and shrimp with exquisite. I was awed by the roasted red potatoes cut to look like mushrooms. The food is so good that we have discussed flying down for a weekend from Dallas to catch dinner here on Saturday. Check the hours of operation and be aware that the Saturday lasagna sells out quickly. Venetian Hot Plate is a class act!
Went here on New Years Eve and found it a bit disappointing. The food was elegant but not wonderful and we felt it was a bit overpriced.
