My bf and I wanted to getaway after the holiday (mini-vacay) and he bought this on a Groupon deal. We traveled mid-week to avoid weekenders and hopefully have a quiet getaway. The room wasn't as clean as it could have been, tile floor, but no area or rugs to help muffle noise. You could tell the housekeepers only cleaned the obvious areas. The nightstand had dust, there was sticky places on the pleather desk chair, kitchen counter and dining table. There was dirt on the floor underneath the desk and dining table and under the counter in the bathroom. They supply kitchen necessities, but it was low quality, scratched non-stick pans and a mix of flatware/dishes that looked like they acquired them wherever they could and furnished the motel with them. I might even say they bought the utensils from a thrift store and supplied the motel with them. When housekeeping came after we left for the day, they only replaced the towels, they didn't empty the trash or even make the bed. The shelf for the mini-fridge was slid on the floor beside the fridge and was sticky and covered in dog hair. Luckily I keep Lysol disinfectant wipes, so I wiped down everything I used before we used it, furniture, dishes, flatware, refrigerator, etc. The breakfast room was mediocre, the one guy that was working the room was struggling to keep up with the number of people. The property was cute & quaint, but I don't think I would use it as a Wedding or event location, but at a reduced rate, we might consider going here again. I would never pay their full price for what we experienced. For the price, it was okay.

Thank you for taking the time to write the review for Plantation Suites. We are very dismayed that your stay did not live up to the expecations we strive for. These reviews are a good training tool for improvements and we are addressing the issues which you mentioned to our staff.
