“Best on the island!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 28, 2012

Lisabellas is one of the top places to eat for an upscale dining experience. Food is fresh and consistently good. Family owned with owner in the kitchen. Chef graduated from culinary institute and therefore well trained. Fish excellent but filet is my constant order. Great mussels for appetizer. Good atmosphere in new location. Quieter than old location and roomier. Only drawback is it is a bit out the island highway and not in Old Town. Highly recommend!

“Don't waste your time or money!”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed May 22, 2012

My husband and I each got one of the fish specials, he got the ahi peppered tuna (which was actually very good) but the portion size was tiny, especially for $38. My fish was bland and had no real flavor, which was a big let down. We had terrible service (they seem to think larger tables are more important). Our desserts sat in the window for over 15 mins (while the manager just sat around) Our beverages were only filled once after we sat down (45-1 hour is a while to wait for no tea or water) We were very excited to try this place, but we will not be back. There is much better food for this price range on the island (with MUCH better service)

“Unexpected Surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 16, 2012

This adorable new bistro is as homey as your mom's beach house. An interesting wine list was a welcome surprise, and the food was amazing. Fresh ingredients, perfectly prepared and beautifully presented. The Crab Cakes were perfection. We will make this a regular stop. If you are going for dinner, make reservations!

“Great Eats for Port A - Don't Confuse With A Great Restaurant”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 17, 2012

Our group of eight hungry co-workers recently enjoyed a meal together at the "new" Lisa Bella's and were generally satisfied with the experience. The key word in considering the quality of Lisa Bella's is CONTEXT. The restaurant is located in a small beach resort community a LONG way from the fresh and fine ingredients that are available in a sizable city. So, I entered the restaurant with that awareness and I wasn't disappointed.

We were seated quickly (we had a reservation) by John, one of the owners' sons, and quickly met by our server, Robert, offering to take drink and orders and appetizer orders...the regular spiel! The menu and wine list were appropriate for this Gulf coast "diner" and we all quickly made our choices...a small filet (although not advertised that way), seafood enchiladas with plenty of seafood and a medium/heavy and bland buere blanc sauce, roasted chicken (as expected) and a seafood pasta dish (more pasta than needed and less seafood than desired). Everyone who ordered/tasted the Mermaid soup agreed that it was a highlight of the meal...tasty with coconut milk, seafood broth, fresh bits of crab, shrimp and lobster, served, more or less, at room temperature (intentionally???).

Just don't confuse Lisa Bella's with fine dining or outstanding value. It's a loud room and there's a d*$%&# television high over the bar blasting out some kind of sports event...UGH!!

SO...if you're in Port A looking for a tasty meal, Lisa Bella's will certainly meet all reasonable expectations!
