“Bravo for Brunch”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 16, 2013

Have dined at Bread Winners for years, beginning with the McKinney Avenue location. Glad they open a restaurant in Plano a couple of years ago. The food is excellent, with huge portions. We almost always take some home.

On this visit, we had brunch - banana bread French toast and cinnamon raisin French toast. Both were delicious.

Bread winners also has good lunches and dinners.

“Eat breakfast all day--or not!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 23, 2013

The menu at BreadWinners is heavy on breakfast items, but that's not a problem! Their pancakes are delicious, as are their huevos dishes. However, they also have enormous and delicious hamburgers with great sweet potato fries. Someday I am going back and STARTING with dessert, as the bakery looks amazing (cinnamon rolls as big as your head!), but I have never had enough room to have dessert! Very busy on weekends; eat early or after noon.

“Yes, it is worth the wait!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 14, 2013

We came here on Saturday afternoon for brunch and it was expectedly crowded! We were told that the waiting time was about 1/2 hour but was promptly seated in 20 minutes time.
Our waitress is very efficient and helpful.

We were served with a complimentary plate of cake assortments.
We thought that we would be waiting for awhile before our orders came. Yet, lo and behold they arrived within 10 minutes.

We shared a plate of Texas Benedicts and a bowl of turkey noodle soup.
They served the very tender beef brisket hash on top of a toasted english muffin and it is topped with over-easy eggs and hollandaise sauce. It came with brunch potatoes (my favourite, it was very nicely flavored) and fruits (slices of orange and strawberry).

Although the turkey noodle soup was a little salty to our taste, it's nicely done with bowtie pasta, turkey meat, carrot and celery.

I think the pricing is pretty reasonable considering the big portion and the yumminess in every bites. :-)

Yes, we will come back here for a good meal.

“Worth the Wait?”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 16, 2012

We usually go here on Sunday. around 10:30. It is mobbed with people waiting for a table. Today the wait was 30 minutes or longer. We left. I just don't understand why people in west Plano wait around for this place. The food is okay, the service is not outstanding. It must be because there are not that many places in west Plano that serve a nice brunch/breakfast. Worth the wait...don't think so.

“Revisit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2012

After the last visit, I vowed never to return(worst service ever). We did make a 2nd visit, however, and was not disappointed. I suppose the performance of our wait person made all the difference. Dana was outstanding and made the experience exceptional. She made us feel welcome and did her job extremely well(as apposed to the first visit, all orders were turned in and everyone got their food). The food, from the chicken fried steak and eggs to the eggs benedict, was tasty and served very quickly. I guess Bread Winners has made it back in to our rotation.
