My husband and I went to Seasons 52 to celebrate his birthday and our anniversary. I made a reservation, asking on the phone if it was necessary on a weekday. She said usually no, but since it was a special occasion I should make one just in case so that we didn't end up waiting.
We got there at exactly 8 pm for our reservation, and were told they were "running behind" and it would be a 10-15 minute wait. I couldn't believe it - I have never had to wait at any restaurant after making a reservation, especially for a special occasion. She gave a pager, which is in very bad taste for a couple with reservations. I can understand giving us the next available table, but we saw many other groups with pagers seated before us... and I doubt they all had reservations. After 10 minutes I asked the hostess how much longer, and she was very rude and dismissive to my complaints, cutting me off mid sentence. After 20 minutes, my husband I decided to leave. Only then, did she get the manager. He apologized and got us the next open table, and gave us a complimentary champagne toasts, appetizer and dessert. We appreciated that, but it still put a damper on what was supposed to be a special night. Our sever seemed apathetic and rushed, yet I frequently saw him standing around chatting with other servers. We ended up having another server come over half the time since he was "helping out" our server.
The food was very average. My husband was happy with his lamb. I'm vegan and the vegan menu leaves a lot to be desired. The tofu that was supposedly marinated and grilled was lukewarm and tasted like it was taken out of the box with some mango jelly dumped on top.
We will never return and I would not recommend this place to anyone. We had been to a Seasons 52 in Orlando and had a great experience. This particular location needs to improve on their customer service.
