“Great Customer Service!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 17, 2012 via mobile

We (7 of us) stayed at this hotel as part of a wedding party and had all of our needs accommodated with a smile! From check in, after a 14baby hour drive, to check out, the staff was always available and able to assist us with all our needs (even late breakfast!). Our first visit to Pecos and found this hotel to be up to standards even in the middle of nowhere! Located on Frontage Rd with convenient access to everything. Breakfast was plentiful and good, rooms and interior were clean, housekeepers always available, and pool area was nice. Would have no problem staying there again if in the area. Thank you to all the staff for great service.

Clean, brand new, great location.... a little pricey though.. come on- it's PECOS !! The back door of the hotel was OPEN- every time I went in and out- kind of nervous about that. The grounds were unkempt and had oil trucks parked all over the place. Could use some completed landscaping. We were there on a Saturday night- slept until 8:30. The breakfast was already being put away by 9:00..come on- it's SUNDAY !!

Room Tip: All of them are the same- a little noisy !

While driving back from Arlington,Tx.to AZ,this was a convenient stop for the night. The hotel is newer, located right off the Interstate, maybe a little to close to the off ramp,as our window faced it,and we could hear the truck traffic. I requested a lower floor, but was told upon check in,that there were only a few rooms left on the 1st floor,so we would get the 2nd floor.(?) Wondered why we could not have one of those rooms? Hauling in and out of the luggage and cooler we brought was getting a big tiresome after a 2 week drive tour. Our room was nice, updated style, large computer desk, dresser combo for a work area.Seperation divider by the king bed,cut off the small couch, table area, making it a small suite.Nice Bedding, linens, double door closet for clothes.Fridge and microwave were handy.Bathroom was clean, updated in style. The only issue I had was the little sign in the bathroom, that quoted the rates for the items in the room,if we decided to steal them! Talk about guilty until proven innocent! I took offense at this "sign" and looked at it every time I entered and exited! Not something I want to deal with again, for sure! I've stayed in many hotels, resorts in my life, but never encountered this! I will post the sign when I am done with this review. Also,no close restaurants,in fact, the only one we considered to eat dinner at,was the Alpine Lodge, under the Interstate bridge and to the right, between the 2 hotels,Best Westerns,on that side of the road.Food and service there was good, but they do not open for dinner until 500PM. Looks like they are open and closed thru the day. There were other restaurants in town, but nothing we would had gone to.
Beautiful, new hotel, but uninviting at the check in and check out process.Breakfast was good, and presented well.Seemed clean. All in all, this hotel is OK for a nights stay.
Highest priced hotel we used on our trip, except for New Orleans.

Room Tip: Ask for a room to the back,to avoid the road noise.

The room was a nice size. Two light bulbs were out, which we probably wouldn't have commented on except that in the morning there was no hot water. At 9 o'clock, the desk was unaware of the problem until we told them. Then others who were checking out also mentioned it.
Breakfast was adequate.
Price was high for the area. As there were a number of oil workers staying there, that might have driven up the price.

I stayed at this hotel for several nights-the breakfast was the same, prefrozen and not a great selection. The waffle mix was sour and the red juice was sickening sweet. There was food on the floor from the previous guests. Excuses are en vogue at this hotel instead of solutions. If you get a discount at this hotel you DON'T get reward points!! What a shame!!
