After amazing starters of Soft Shell Crab and Tuna Tartare, when the waitress told me that the Roasted Red Pepper Soup was vegan, I near about fell off my chair. Vegan in Palestine? Yep. It's happened, y'all. Thank you very much. Not only were the first two courses impeccably prepared, we then moved into the Maple Leaf Farms Duck which was tongue titillating. Our waitress suggested a wonderful Sauvignon Blanc for me, and a very nice Chardonnay for my mother, and remembered the brief discussion we had about my appointment the next day to purchase some land in the area. The next thing I knew, Executive Chef Christian Mailloux himself came out to chat with us about the property purchase, the food, and how they ended up in Palestine from Massachusetts. Wonderful people, truly. As we were winding up our very unhurried meal with lovely glasses of brandy and cups of espresso, the chef came back out of the kitchen with handmade strawberry ice cream and lemon tarts to celebrate my big moment. We could not have had a better "Welcome to the area" than we received from the wonderful staff at Redfire Grille. So, thank you, Chef and all. We will be back soon, and yes, I'll bring friends and call ahead to make sure there will be a table available.
