I have lived in New Braunfels my whole life and had never been here. I always thought the Snake Farm looked like sort of a seedy place. However, I thought I had heard that it had recently been "redone". So, my husband and I took our kids here over spring break and it was not a good experience. It is $9.75 per person to get in, $3.00 per bag of animal food. Each bag is about one hand full. The snakes are all in very small cages. The monkeys were in a cage about the size of my bathroom. The crocodile exhibit had about 15-20 crocodiles in a very small area with a very small pool of water. They had wolves and a couple of wild cats that were pacing in their little cages. I felt like all the animals were begging to be let out. My daughter loved the petting zoo, but I didn't see any staff anywhere and children were chasing the animals, chasing the baby goats and laughing as they tried to get away. We left, thinking it was a very sad and depressing place. I'm honestly surprised that this place is legal. Also, one bathroom with a looooong line.
