“Mozie's”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 9, 2014

Good local neighborhood bar and hamburger joint. Clean, a little upscale, and the waitstaff of young ladies are easy on the eyes.

“Fun place to eat before going to Gruene Hall”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

We ate there prior to the Mavericks Concert at Gruene Hall last week. Great French fries! One only indulges in those about four times a year. Good drinks and wine selection.

“Fish tacos excel!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 23, 2014

Mozie's is an odd little spot. At one of the longest bars in Texas (so I was told) this is definitely a bar atmosphere. Not a family spot for kids, although many folks do bring their little ones... which makes no sense to me. The fish tacos here are delectable and perfect. there is not a better fish taco to be found anywhere! Mozie's can be super crowded at peak times, so arrive early or plan to wait for a table. Also, the bar tenders mix up a fantastic margarita on the rocks. If you can handle two or more, you should NOT be planning to drive home. Designate a driver and have a second one- delicious! The chicken salad is also fabulous. Several other great things on teh menu. Try the parmesan cheese french fries- to die for!

“Yummy!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 14, 2014

We were with friends enjoying a weekend at Canyon Lake when we decided to go to Gruene for lunch. It was about a 20 minute drive from where we were staying on the lake. We had eaten a large breakfast & so we were looking for a lighter lunch. We (3 couples) had all eaten at Mozies before & decided it would be perfect. We arrived about 1:30 PM and were seated right away. Instead of ordering individually, each couple split a light meal. My husband & I split an order of sliders (3 sliders) and a small plate of onion rings. Both were delicious! The slider meat was very flavor-able and the hot, thin, crispy onion rings were to die for! Yummy - and perfect for 2 people. Another couple split the Cobb Salad which was huge and full of 'stuff'. More 'stuff' than lettuce. The third couple split the Chicken Salad sandwich. Both of the other couples were happy with their lunch.
All the men had various beers and enjoyed watching the flat screen TV's that dot the wall. Our waitress was smiling and efficient. A good lunch and we'll go back.
