In the Summer of '06 we experienced the Comal River. My family and I was invited by friend to the SA area. One day was set aside to do the Comal. We are planning for Summer of '07, and now SEVERAL days are being set aside for the Comal. The trip to SA area was fund, but Comal in New Braunfels was the bomb!! We had the best time. We ranged from ages 7 to 41 and everyone had a blast. We did find out one thing, when you hit the river chutes make sure you are holding onto your ice chest! You can have someone take it around if you don't want to take a chance of dumping it. We saw several groups floating down the river without drinks because they dumped. We on the other hand enjoy the ride down and relaxed all the way to the end. We had no problem except for one little girl got in trouble when she fell off her tube. She got to the bank and walked into someone yard. The lady who owned the property told her to get off her land and back in the water. I told the lady she was having problems and was trying to get back to her parents. The lady did not care she just wanted her off her property. However we did not let one rude lady stop our fun. I helped the little girl and I felt good about myself and my famly, and was glad the little girl was safe. So do yourself a favor, don't trespass on someone's property with permission from the owner. Enjoy the trip !!
