We were in town for a family funeral and stayed here for 5 nights. We had a king bed room, first floor, street side (highway, actually). I would highly recommend asking for a room in the back of the hotel, noise from roadway can be very annoying. Semi's pass by continually and if you do not have the air or heat blowing, or a fan, you probably be bothered by this noise.
Our room was very clean every day; only slight negative we saw was dust on the lamps. The beds are very comfortable here and that is one reason we really like this hotel. The lighting in the room is adequate, but could be better. I wish the nice ceiling fan in the room had a light attached, as that would provide a perfect reading light. Sofa is very comfortable, also. Plenty of closet space but only about 5 hangars, we go to Walmart and buy a pack for a buck.
They had happy hour one night, a Friday. 3 beer brands on tap. But that was the only night we noticed this "amenity." It was a good time and place for family to gather! Breakfast is decent, but nothing to rave about. Pool area is small, but very clean. Parking can be tight when full and you may have to park in the Burger King lot, which is allowed.
Almost all staff are friendly and very helpful! We asked for and received extra pillows, towels, bedding, and even an old cloth for polishing cowboy boots, all with a smile. That is great service.
We will continue to stay at this hotel, as the staff, cleanliness, location, rooms and rates are very good to excellent. Hoping it stays this way. Highly recommend.
