I went to tenerife 10th june - 24th june. second time there. we stayed at la siesta great hotel and great location!

we travelled with thomas cook. the trips we bought were loro parque 47 euros pp. really good well worth a vist. 23 euros pp for jungle park another good park could of spent all day looking at the monkeys. and on the bob ride.

We also did the bar crawl great craic started of at leonardos, rags, branigans, mett barr, linekars, then my all time fave tramps!! the dj remembered us from last yr woo. best dj in the cheesy room haha!

we both love tenerife so much to see and do. great weather also. if your into mini golf go the one near the safari shopping centre can have choice of 9 hole and 18 holes. Also can walk to Los Cristainos where they have a crazy golf course which is really hard but a great laugh.

was about a 5 min walk to the beach from our hotel. it was also the water festival wen we were there! from our balcony we could hear jamerquio (can't spell)

would reccommend tenerife to everyone. love it soo much would move there lol.

“what an experience”

I have just returned from a week rest and relaxation at the H10 Las Palmeras Hotel Playa las Americas.
On checking in which was swift and informatiive i was pointed in the direction of the lifts, there was no porter service, although two were hanging around the entrance, locating my room was easy enough as I was just beside the lifts,

The room was clean and the toilet was hygienically sealed which is sometimes a neglected item in a lot of hotels.A bowl of fruit and a bottle of water was placed on the desk which was a nice gesture, Th abundance of hangers in the wardrobe space was a surprise mind you if there had been two of us in the room they woould have been insufficient. The room was beautifully appointed, the balcony overlooked the pool and the matrue gardens, This was a pleasure to sit on especially early morming whereby you can witness the staff caring for the grounds before guest appeared. These staff were thorugh and worked so very hard.

There was so much information in the form of leaflets about the hotel, which was very informative and notepaper and stationery were in abundance,One thing which was unusual was no bible. Which i have found in most hotels,

Th dining in the hotel is an experience which every guest will enjoy, the only drawwback for me was the waiters, to say they were lazy is an understatement. On several occasions I witnessed guests cleaning off tables whilst waiters stood around ogling guests and laughing. The restaurant out on the pool area was dismal, and dreary it was great for grabbing a drink or a light snack but so depressing to walk into .

Eddie on the animation team did a wonderful job with the children they adored him,but he struggled with the adults.
Language was his down ful, i feel hewas hampered with the amount of time he could allocate to the activities they didnt last more than half an hour.,the fact that the loud speaking system did not work all over the grounds hampered his efforts. His two female assistance did not help him, they were all smiles not not much else.

Carmen Garcia was my appointed housekeeper, she was a dream, she tended to all, every evening she turned down my bed and left chocolates on my bed , which was so nice, she was thorough and I always knew when she had been in the room. she was a treasure and so efficient. She should go far.

The bar staff were friendly and super efficient there were so many of them, they kept the bar area immaculate and never a dirty glass to be seen anywhere.

The ground of this hotel were beautifully tended, the pool areas were surrounded with loungers, parasols, the largest pool was VERY deep-the childrens pools were small but so safe, there was a life guard on duty.It was hard to identify him but he was there,

On checking out of the hotel, being out of my room for 12,oo midday was frustrating, I wasnt leaving the hotel until 6pm there wasnt an area I could go into and have a shower before I left and they didnt have a room available that I could pay for for just a couple of hours, reception did take my cases which they locked up in a room,

On the whole I would highly recommend this hotel,as an all 'inclusive' guest it was nice not having to worry whether
I had money on me.

I would really consider returning to this hotel maybe in the busy season and see if the same quality of service.applied.

I stayed in the Tenerife Princess which is on the Los Christianos side of town and about 10 minutes walk to the strip. Playa De Las Americas i found to be like Margate in the summer (no disrespect to people from there). don't get me wrong i like a drink but this place seems to attract teenagers who can't hold there drink and end up being ill, it also has a fare share of hookers walking the streets. Other down sides was the amount of VERY RUDE timeshare sales people and africans selling sunglasses some of which i found intimidating.
On saying all of this the place is not that bad......mostly good weather all year round.........the sea and sand is not the best a shame because most people seem to come here for this and the booze............
Luckily i had hired a car here in the uk (better option than hiring it in Tenerife) so i used playa de las Americas as a base and explored and what suprises i came across.......the north coast is rugged and stunning, the Loro Parque is well worth the visit (do this on your own as tour operators do not give you enough time), a boat trip to see whales and Dolphins (spend the money and go by speed boat not one of the bigger boats), Los Gigates, Masca (a truely hidden gem) and Mount Tieide (again go on your own but don't be disappointed if the cable car to the top of the volcano is shut as it does tend to with no warning especially in winter)
The resort is not as cheap as i had expected but good deals are to be found on electrical items

I go to Las Americas every year fro a bit of winter sun. Although I would not go there for my summer holiday, it is great at the back end of the year for some sun and nightlife. I have stayed in a variety of different hotels in different price bands. My advice would be avoid the club 18-30 hotels as for all you think they might be cheap and cheerful they are grotty and disgusting. Any of the Parque Santiagos are nice, especialy Parque Santiago 3 which has an amazing pool. The Mare Nostum resort is also awesome.

There are some fantastic restuarants from the Castilla which bizarrely does not have a menu to the super modern Sugar and Spice which serves the most yummy food.

Shopping is OK with some high end boutiques in Los Christianos to the usual souviner shops. For you ladies there is an amazing shoe shop near Macdonalds.

Nightlife has it all from low key piano bars to foam parties. Veronicas strip, for all it improved for a few years has now gone downhill again and most activity seems to now revolve round the Tramps and Lineaka's area over the road. The PR's are an absolute nusiance but part of the furniture in Tenerife. Tramps is a fantastic club and has an awesome R&B DJ in the front bar. the Patch which is towards Los Christianos is more geared up for families with show bars and the like.

I would not hesitate to recommend Las Americas to anyone.

We havebeen to tenerife twice. We stayed at the columbus which was wonderful, and we have stayed at park de la paz,not as nice as the columbus but a lot cheaper and just as clean,Cara the resident entertainer makes you feel very welcome indeed. We go self catering and found a row of pubs at the side of park de la paz, the food is very good and very reasonably priced except the one on the corner, it's abit pricey and the food is not so good. Entertainment is good from 9 o'clock till midnight.
Aqualand water park is good fun great slides but a steep climb with a stoney path { sore on feet } Dolphin show was magic,Dolphins look great and follow thier trainers like dogs you can see they treat them very well.Food is very expensive in heer take apacked lunch. Dont buy tickets from reps get them from the wee stores that sell all the trips, much cheaper. Jungle park is brill, bird showis great, walk about in your own time looking at all the animals. Loro parque is a must see, the place is beautiful, the bus trip is a bit long but worth it. The sharks and the penguins are amazing, you must go to loro parque....... We are going back to park de la paz this december, we are evencheaper this year the columbus was far too expensive,it pays to shop around we were £200 cheaper.
