“Get the right table”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 26, 2014

Been here many times and always been very good. Sadly this visit was not!! We booked a table near the front for best view of the entertainment but on arrival was shown to what we can only say was the worst table. Was next to the kitchen so constant noise and bells ringing chefs talking etc and the constant through traffic of staff and guests. The food was over priced but ok. Would say make sure you get the table you book or be disappointed.

“Top end price but very pleasant.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 15, 2014

Have beef here a few times but think is is overpriced. The food is very good and the atmosphere and surroundings are different to most other places. The staff are friendly and their English is good enough for conversation. I enjoy their entertainment, especially when the chef comes out and sings and if you think you can handle it, they will even let you sing as well. Lovely place and lovely food but I feel €35 - €50 is a little expensive if you plan to eat out a lot.

Dear clients

Please disregard this review as it is 13 months out of date. Luis, the singing chef, left Molino Blanco in November 2012 and now resides in Germany with his partner. We have requested that trip advisor remove this review as it is misleading in its insinuation that we allow guests to sing when we do not. We employ professional musicians and we offer live entertainment, not karaoke. We would also like to point out that our prices have not changed in two years even though local taxes, production costs and materials have all risen and we are also carrying out extensive renovation work. We thank all of our guests, past and present for their feedback but we would be grateful if the information was up to date.

“New Year´s Eve at El Molino Blanco, Tenerife”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 13, 2014

We´ve been to Tenerife on our Christmas/New Year´s vacation and were searching for a good place to celebrate the new year and ended up (as a result of a friend´s recommendation) at El Molino Blanco in Las Americas, Tenerife:

1. Location and Restaurant

First of all the location, an old (or at least it looks old) windmill with the neighbouring restaurant and huge terrace is very beautiful, though located very close to the big Waterpark and the highway... But the exterior and interior of the entire ensemble is extremely nicely decorated and gives a bit of Spanish/Tenerife flavor.
The restaurant inside again is very nicely decorated and huge and seems to have live music every evening. It seems to be very popular especially with British and Russian guests, those represented by far the majoritiy on new year´s eve, Spanish people were very rare to find...

2. Food and Service

As we went for the new year´s eve, we had a set menu of roughly 6 dishes (salad with seafood, oysters, a soup, salmon with rice, beef and venison and a desert), which was really good and tasty. Also the accompanying red and white wines were good! The service was extremely attentive and very nice! So all in all from a food and service perspective really lovely.

3. The party at new year´s eve
During dinner time there were several show elements: First of all a really good (and funny) tenor sung, then there was a sort of "British Sinatra trash version" singing old swing classics, also o.k. But then closer to 11/12pm, when everybody would assume that now a real party band will start it really got worse and worse: First of all there was a medley of the best Russian folk songs of the last 200 years and then two guys entered the stage, which should rock the party - and they would have: At a retirment home... Unfortunately we (and some other people) are still younger than 50 - and decided shortly after 12pm to go and look for a real part - which we found at Club Papagayo...

So all in all probably a nice and good place to go for dinner and a bit of music, but at least for the new year´s party the last part (a real party) was missing for us...

“Beautiful quaint restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 3, 2014

Unusual yet beautiful little restaurant recommended by someone in the UK. On arrival it looks great, little tealights in the trees, all lit up beautifully, music outside, just great and very romantic.
Menu has lots of choice and is great, starters are quite expensive but overall, the menu is reasonably price considering the restaurant being so unique.
Ordered Camerbert & then Chateaubriand, both were equally as amazing.
Was also a great opera style singer on whilst we were eating, really was great, sent shivers down my spine was that great!

A+++
