“Charming Little Hotel With A Beautiful Garden and Pool. For Anyone Wanting A Pleasent Stay and Perfect Holiday.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 29, 2011

I booked this hotel through a travel agents without checking any hotel reviews. When I did eventually read the hotel reviews I was shocked and started to regret ever having booked this hotel.
However this turned out to be the best holiday we had ever had. When we arrrived at the hotel, I was pleasently surprised at how beautiful the garden was. At check in, the receptionist was very polite and made it feel as if it was a small family run hotel, which I personally like.
Our hotel room was right at the back, away from the nightlife. Which was great, as we have young chidren. The hotel room was very clean. We also had a kitchenette with a small dining table.
The pool was very nice and clean. A little on the small side, but big enough for this smaller hotel.
The pool was cleaned very early daily as was the rest of the hotel. All the staff from cleaners to reception staff were very helpful and polite. Probarly the nicest staff ever.
There was all mixed groups staying at this hotel from families, groups of youths to couples. They had a no tolerence policy for noise from the younger guest who wanted to have a bit of fun. Although on some occasions they did close the bar later if there were a lot of people wanted to have more drinks. But still closed the bar reasonable early. There is a little bar and resturant at this hotel. I never ate here, so could not tell you what the food is like. We had cook breakfast at the cafe opposite. Kids breakfasts were only 1 euro and adults were 2.50 euro.
There is a great atmoshere to this little hotel. We had a little gecko come up on to our balcony most nights. It was very amusing to see it keep hiding and come back out when it thought we had gone.

The hotel was in a great location. Very close to the beach. Close to Aqualand, Siam park and jungle park via a free bus. The only park that wasn't close was Loro parque, but you can't have it all.
Close to a place called Vivo, which was great for us as there was no kids club at Hacienda. There is a free boucy castle, cheap mini golf and drinks.
If you are going as a family to this location, I would recemend going to Peurto Colon. Here you have great whale and dolpin watching excursions, lots of resturants and bars, you can get a pint and a meal for 4 euros at a place called something like la parcia. The Kandi Lounge is great for kids as they have a Wii and board games. They also do lovely cocktails.
The american style diner is a must if you have children. They will love sitting in the dining cars. A bit expensive here.
When buying tickets for exursions never buy them from holiday reps, they charge huge fees. If you have the time look around.
The Safari shopping centre is great for designer clothing and dining along with one great hidden underground gift shop . All the gifts are hand made from volcanic lava or other natural objects from the island. Perfect.
Take the chidren down to the water pools next to des americas beach, the water pools are amazing. there is lots of fish, crabs and other marine life here. Keeps children entertained for ages. But can get a little slippery some days.
There is also a small ranch that do inexpensive camel rides and free pony rides. You get picked up in a little mini bus and taken to a little ranch. You can also eat here, visit banana plantations. The chidren will love looking at the camels, llamas, wild boars, cockerals and ponies. The people here don't speak english, which is great as you know you are away from the tourist traps. All animals are loved and well looked after also.

Close by to Hacienda is an emergency medical centre in los christianos. Treatment is either free or smaller fees here. Take a european health card or insurance with you all the time.

This hotel is either so close to everything or short taxi and bus rides away.

Hotel was clean (no roaches), as stated in other reviews, which is unavoidable in some of the top hotels in Tenerife. Clean rooms and Hotel. Friendly, helpful staff. Defently not rude. All of our belongings and money remained untouched the entire time. Also I had some of the best nights sleep ever. Best location if you have a family wanting to do everything or are part of younger groups wanting great nightlife and Siam park. This hotel is also opposite a very famous nightclub.

All in all a very charming little hotel, that I would love to stay at again.

I would reccomend Hacienda Del Sol to anyone. We couldn't have asked for anything more.

Room Tip: For peice ask for room at the very back.

second time that we stayed in this hotel but a lot changed since the first time. It`s an hotel for single people and a lot noisier because of that. I would not recommend for families. The bar stayes open until midnight ish and the pool sometimes is used after closing. We wake at 6 morning with the splashing. And expect to awake during the night with drunk people trying to find their keys to the room.
Only 5 minutes away from the beach and restaurants and pubs just across the road.

Room Tip: away from pool and bar

Stayed at this hotel for a week of going mental in the sun, it served its purpose, great location only 2 minutes from Linekars bar and Yates where all the action happens. The hotel has attractive gardens and a good pool bar, serving snacks and cold drinks. The barman / head chef is a guy called Tony who is very friendly and delivers top customer service. The drinks at the pool are also relatively cheap, about 2 euros a pint of lager or 3 euros for a cocktail. The food at the pool os good too, i recommend the steak wrap, or the lompos eggs pizza. There is a long term resident staying at the hotel called Mr Burns, this guy is a god, he is in the process of writing his memoirs which he does at the pool each day, if you see him say hi from me.
The rooms are also pretty good, with a fridge and a balcony, however if possible get a room overlooking the pool as the rooms at the back are quite noisy from 6 am onwards with vans emptying bottle banks and vans picking up laundry.
Overall, great hotel and great stay..

Room Tip: get a room overlooking the pool.

Hotel was ideally situated, 5 minutes from Veronica's Strip which has all the bars and 5 minutes from restaurants . Hotel Staff were very friendly , Rooms are very basic (our room had no TV) but if you want the room for sleeping and getting ready then its fine . The pool area is small but very clean also they have inflatables (lilo , Big rubber rings , ) that you can use for free. Barman at poolbar was very friendly ,there is internet access and a very beautiful garden area as you walk into the hotel. We only ate at the pool bar once but it was very nice. I would stay again at this hotel as its nearby to everything you need including the beach.

Pool gets loud and boisterous but the hotel itself is nice , if basic, it is clean and is central to absolutely everything. If you just want a good time but want a nice clean room to fall asleep in every night/morning then this will do the job. Ideal place for a first holiday away?
Close to the beach too; although the beaches are not the greatest.

I and 4 girl friends stayed here March 2011. We were a little apprehensive after reading the reviews but decided for the price we could deal with it. And were we glad we did! The appartments were, ok a little dowdy, but absolutly spotless and were cleaned daily. The pool was beautiful and the pool bar/ restaurant was lovely (thanks to the barman!)

As for location....it was PERFECT. Was a two min trotter over to Linekers - but there was no noise in the room from any of the bars. As for noise levels at the hotel, we, who were worried about it - got a warning!!! We were talking on the balcony after midnight which was not allowed. They were very pleasent about it - but noise was not accepted. Gates were locked to the complex after 11pm - and you had to be let in by security - so felt very safe.

We had a late evenin flight and they let us use a room at the end of the day to get showered and changed in, which we thought was a lovely gesture.

All in all we had a fab holiday and have no complaints about the appartments. Well worth the money and an perfect location. Would definately stay here again!

Great location if ur in to getting drunk on holiday as its like 3 mins till ur on the main strip of las americas. the hotel is standard and could do with some updated wallpaper etc ive stayed here twice in the 12 times ive been to tenerife. The pools always cold so its up to u if u go in or not think it closes about 7 i would go in after that for quite dip wen there no weans about !.

security at the hotel is a joke aye they walk around now and again but they let anyone just walk in as we had a stranger who was sleeping rough sleeping outside our balcany and they never done anything to remove the person. U probs find them sitting in the office with there feet up oh well.

the foods not to bad went for dinner twice and it was cheap also drinks are not to bad aswell.

never take a shower during the day as some of the windows people can see in wen there walking pass. the beds need upgrading as ours where broke but the maid does come in and clean etc.
