Ola holidays (british tour group) arranged this for me saying it was a great hotel I even paid extra, It was very shady no reception we were greeted in a kitchen and checked out with the manager at the bar. the apartment wasn't too awful but not cleaned well OLA is a terrible company they are arrogant unbending and have no interest in keeping the customer happy DONT USE THEM!

Room Tip: back of the hotel maybeless noisy

I booked this hotel for my daughter and her boyfriend as a Christmas present for them - it was the first time they had been abroad together. I thought it looked young and fun - we chose to stay in Los Cristianos at a more staid apartment. Our flight was delayed for 2 hours that meant we got to the apartments after reception had closed, they had tried ringing from the airport to warn them but the receptionist just said "send e-mail" - nothing had been done whatsoever to allow them access to the property and we had to wait around whilst the taxi driver spoke to someone in Spanish to get them to come down and unlock the gate.

The next day we met up with them and they told us the pool was closed and empty for "health reasons" - not dreadfully reassuring! They said the size of the apartment was good and that it wasn't bad overall......that was before they tried sleeping there. Like all the reviews they agreed it was noisy, but so loud it was impossible to sleep until about 4am - this is a 21 year old (she does noise!).

A couple of days later we had a call at 3.30am saying that they wanted to leave and could we get them into our apartment as they hadn't slept for nights and now the boys from next door were falling out and had smashed their patio door and were now proceeding to destroy their apartment. They were scared that the rowing pair were going to break into their apartment and couldn't leave to go and fetch the Police and of course reception had closed. I got them an apartment at ours (see Castle Harbour, Los Cristianos) and then went over to pick them up - they were trashed and just ready to sleep. There was a lady trying to wake up the boys nextdoor (no doubt to ask them about their broken window!) and we told her the story but she didn't seem particularly bothered and we were unable to get any refund on the remaining nights. Moral of the story - do your research better and get somewhere with a 24hr reception and security service. We have learned our lesson.

Room Tip: If you still want to go opt for a room towards the back of the property

Located right next to the main bar and club strip Veronica's and a one min walk to the shops and beach restaurants this was great no matter the time of day.
The room it self which was an apartment was split over 3 levels. The top was the private sun balcony completed with stunning views of the sea and mountains, came with own loungers great if you wanted a bit of me time. The middle was the master bedroom completed with two single beds which can be pushed together if you want a double. There was also a storage unit for your clothes. Next to the room was the bathroom which was very small. Again not a problem just watch your step!
Down the stairs which you need to watch as if you lost your footing on them you would know about it was located the sitting room come bedroom come kitchen. Two pull out beds and a small kitchen. The fridge was very small good job we never had much to put in it! Eatting out was cheap and a wide selection of venues so you will be alright.
The room overall served our needs as it was just a base to use as we were out all hours. So if you looking for a great cheap place to crash deffo try this place.
Its Gay friendly and we met some really nice people .

Word of warning whilst your out watch your money in your pockets and any phones! If you dont need to take your phone out dont and no wallets as two of our group found out the hard way!

Room Tip: If you want the best views get one located at the front, however there are very noisy as the main cl...

Stayed here in Feb 2012 for one week. The apartments themselves have their good and bad points like anywhere you stay. Fantastic 3 floors to each apartment with lovely sun terraces on the top floors with fab views over the sea. Never used the kitchen or stayed in the living area as was out a lot plus ate out every day. The accomodation was regularly cleaned and all the staff where on hand to help. The complex is right opposite the Veronicas and so is very noisy at night, however I slept like a log for the entire week and so the noise never bother me even though we stayed in aopartment 10 which is right at the front of the complex.

The bar staff where excellent and very friendly and helpful even though many of them did not speak much english and my spanish is ashamedly limited. The bar, terrace and pool area is fantastic with a chilled out vibe and Morrocan decor. I loved the relaxed atmosphere and the mixed cliental.

The beach is 2 mins walk away and there are a variety of good restaurants and bars only a short walk from the appartments. One I feel I just have to mention (simply because they are yet to appear on Trip Advisor) is Kim's Beach Bar which can be found on the beach front a short walk north from the apartments. Kim and Ian are fantastic hosts and can simply not do enough for any of their cliental. Overall Kim's is a must visit for its fantastic food and excellent views.

You get what you pay for at Playa Flor, if you want a base in which to just sleep and shower in the centre of it all then this is a fantastic option. If you prefer to be pampered then Playa Flor is not for you.

Room Tip: if you want it a little quieter then ask for an appartment near the back of the complex. However the...

I stayed at The Playaflor with a friend in February 2012 and was very pleased with the accommodation, relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. Spacious apartment on 3 levels, the top being a small roof terrace which was an excellent little suntrap!
The pool was gorgeous and the poolbar well maintained and soooo relaxing. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and we were treated like one of their family. Food was all homemade and they served amazing fruit juices for all purposes, including hangovers ;-)
Directly opposite the busy main clubs in Americas, the music blasted until half 3 each morning but a pair of earpugs on our earlier nights helped (we were in the front facing apartment facing the Clubs)
I'd recommend singles, couples - both gay and straight to stay here and I'm already looking at returning later in the year!!

Room Tip: For quieter rooms request the rear of the complex.
