“clean and basic”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed January 16, 2009

stayed here at the end of October 2008. Was given a ground floor apartment at first but balcony wasnt private there was about 6 apartments in a row who all shared the same terrace. Moved to the third floor with a fantastic view of the mountains, beach and los christianos. Rooms are basic but the bedrooms are small with only 3 coathangers and no dressing table. Maids came every day apart from Tuesdays and Fridays and towels changed twice a week. We overlooked a main road so it was fairly noisy at night and they empty the street bins at 2am! Pool was nice and clean and plenty of sunbeds. Entertainment was ok but we went out every night down to Mcguinness Bar at Tenerife Royal gardens because the drinks were cheaper! Apartments wasnt too bad but wouldnt stay here again. Staff and rep were all friendly enough. Went self catering so cant comment on the food but some of the menus didnt look very enticing!

  • Liked — Weather was fantastic!
  • Disliked — No teapot, milk jug and sugar bowl (a holday traditon for tea on the balcony!)

Could not fault the apartments in anyway, excellent value for money, clean, tidy and spacious. The cleaners seemed to appear most days, they even changed our towels most days, was suprised when the arrived to clean our room on New Years day. The apartments are in my view, in one of the best locations in las Americas, also only a nice walk away from Los Christianos. Reception staff very helpful, if i had to make one gripe it would be to have a few more utensils in the room.

Tenerife at New Year never fails, we had good weather, the celebrations as always very good, only bad thing because of the euro, very expensive - Coke 3 euro, beer 4 euro, loaf of bread 3.40 euro etc, average meal in nice restaurant, one course with a coke/beer for 3 around 50 euro. So be aware if going in the summer when very hot and needing lots to drink, if you are a family of 4 or 5 it may be best to consider all inclusive or somewhere out of the euro.

Ok it might not be the Hilton, but this hotel is comfortable, clean and in the perfect location close to shops, bars, restaurants and a short stroll from the beach. This was our second visit (last there in Dec 2005) and the place looked as if it had been freshened up since our last visit. The apartment (1 bedroom) was spacious, the terrace/balcony was large and the views over to the park facing it were pleasant. We could even see the mountains!

So what if we did have to hire a toaster - the holiday wasn't going to be spoiled if I didn't get toast in the morning, I could easily have done without.

I have no complaints at all. The staff were friendly and helpful and responded quickly when we asked for extra pillows and reported our tv faulty.

I enjoyed both our holidays here so much that I'm going back with my sister-in-law in March! Counting the days....

Stayed at Parque de la Paz for October half term. We had a 2-bed 2-storey apartment on the top floor overlooking the pool.

Overall the whole place is very well looked after. The bathrooms were a little tired, but all was clean. Didn't have any problems with the towels as other reviewers have mentioned. We found the location to be really good as well - everything you could need close by.

We went for a week of relaxation, but found the night time entertainment to be rather noisy and very loud in our rooms as the bar is next to the pool. However, we managed to catch up on sleep round the pool during the day (we favoured the terrace away from the pool). We found there to be no problems with the numbers of sunbeds, we didn't go to the pool til about 10-11am each day and always found loungers. Why some people had to get up early and sit on bar chairs in the spot where they wanted to put their loungers, I really don't understand, but it was entertaining to watch!!!

The food in the bar was good, but we didn't try the restaurant at the apartments - we ate out at night. We found a place in the Vistasur complex called Picasso and went back a few times as the food was good and reasonably priced.

  • Liked — Cleanliness, Spacious, Location, Bitter & Twisted act (fab)
  • Disliked — Noise and twice-nightly bingo sessions!

Arrived at Parque de la Paz for a week on 31st October with my 2 kids aged 9 and 5 and my friends and their two kids. First impression of the complex is quite pleasant nice reception and pool area quite nice. Have to say it is the smallest apartment I have ever had. Kitchen area ok size but bedroom was not that big and it did not have a dressing table for make up/ hair bits. Living area ok but when two kids sleeping in it a bit cramped.Rooms could do with bit of updating and only got clean towels twice a week, not much use with two messy pups. My friends also had an incident with ants and reception staff were very unhelpful. They basically told them to put their 5yr old daughter in a bed full of them. Thought the service was appalling we had to get a rep to intervene. Did not have many other dealings with reception staff but all the other staff were helpful and hard working. There is also no onsite supermarket and launderette which was a first for me

Pool area ok and pool bar good. I have to say the bar staff are excellent, especially in the bar hall in the evening. Also Cara the entertainer is good in the bar hall at night. Have to say NOTHING for kids at these apts or in las americas really. There is no kis club at this time of yr, no kids play park, no kids mini disco nothing. Very disappointed. Same goes for the surronding area. The mini golf at Santiago is lovely but once or twice is enough. Not many child friendly bars and no entertainment on for them. I have been to loads of different places on hol and would have to say las americas worse place for yound children. Teenagers and young ones would have a ball saying that.

I think I prefer los cristianos to las americas but it is pretty much the same. Parque de la paz is fine if you get it cheap but I would not book to stay here again. think there is better accomodation to stay in.Think if you are couple or young group it is grand but I wouldnt recommend it with young kids and also the 'lookie lookie' people drove me mad in the evenings. Overall I would not go back and I think I will stick to fuerteventura and lanzarote

Just returned from a weeks stay. Was more than pleased with the Parque Le Paz, (prev reviews made me a little wary but not always true) .
Rooms were clean, didn't take too much notice of kitchen facilites as don't go on holiday to cook.... fridge was clean and that was the main for water, pop and of course the odd tipple... to be kept cool... Went self catering, tried the restaurant for breakfast was ok, food from the pool bar reasonabley priced and plenty of it, drinks, especially the pop was expensive for the kids but was the same where ever you went.. Pool was clean, cleaned every morning thoroughly, as was everywhere else.
Towels could have been changed more than twice, but not too much of a major hang up. Staff very pleasant. Would recommend this to anyone and will definitely return at some point....
Only downfall was wasn't able to keep room on a little longer on departure day, it didn't seem to be of interest to them, but there is a shower room near pool for you to freshen up...
Over all enjoyed my stay, it was a very relaxing holiday even with 3 children and a husband in tow....
Mac's bar on the front great for an english breakfast 3 euros.........
First time to Tenerife will def go back at some point......

Our first time in Tenerife and the wife picked the hotel. It was very clean and the staff could not have been more helpful. The food was always fresh and of a good quality, and lots of it. The only bad thing was in the evening, even although the entertainment was outside , you could not get away from the smokers, unless you sat at the outside of the seating area. The kids 12 and 7 enjoyed the pool and want to go back again.

  • Liked — lots of room
  • Disliked — the noise of the chiller unit below our room
