“Excellent Holiday Location For All Activities”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 19, 2010

My wife and I have returned on 13th August 2010 following a 14day holiday. Both the Thomas Cook flights were delayed 3hrs approx both ways with poor reasons, On arrival at the Hotel we found reception area was very clean and welcoming and the check in was very quick. The room allocated was of a reasonable standard, however, this was not the best 4* hotel we have stayed in. Airbeds were allowed in the pool apparantly unofficially for the first 5days of our stay and then disallowed which changed the atmosphere around the pool area - it was alot quieter (sorry but after 25years of foreign holidays we have not been abroad yet where airbeds are not allowed in the pool), however, the pool was of a very good size and I had no problem distance swimming).
Plenty of sunbeds around the pool.
Good quality and reasonable choice of food at the hotel with good choice of meat and neither of us had tummy problems.
NOT MANY ENGLISH PEOPLE AT THE HOTEL
The activity programme by the animation team was the reasonable, however, we went out on an evening due to the lack of efficiency of the service at the outside bar.
The Hotel had a brilliant location - 10 minute brisk walk to Los Christianos (We found a short cut past the shopping area instead of the promenade) , 5 minutes to resort nightlife, 3 minutes to quite a nice shopping area.
Cheaper bars to drink in are the TRAVELLERS REST (next to Leonardos) we used this bar alot as the staff were nice and seemed genuine and also the HEREFORD BULL which had one or two good acts on (The Sunday night drag act was funny and suits all ages and the soul night was good). We only had one short experience ( a few minutes) regarding timeshare and also found the Chinese and Africans were nuisances on an evening trying to sell what I would call Junk.
The clubbing type bars in the resort had good atmosphere and had the usual cons to get custom but we only sampled the experience twice as we dont like to pay way over the odds for drinks.
Lorra Park and Siam Park are both good value but shop around for good price (there is a small excursion and cycle hire shop on the way to Los Christianos via the promenade that was very good and reliable with information - look for the English Chap who wears a bandana).
We are already considering going back next year to the same hotel.

Just come back from a weeks stay very disappointed - the pool area is overcrowded some days you couldn't even put your feet on the floor between the beds next to you and one afternoon we couldn't even find a route to get back to our room without stepping over peoples beds !!! And you pay 1.50 euros for a mat and a towel each day - this doesn't open until 8am by which time you'll find the best beds already have towels on them so be prepared to get up early and take your own towel to reserve a bed - I hated doing this but it is the only way you can guarantee getting a sunbed ! Most poolside beds are reserved by 7.30 ! Also the swim up bar is no longer there it has been replaced by an area for privilege guests - we never saw anyone in this area - what a waste of space !

I stayed in the hotel with my teenage daughter. Th room was a good size for both of us and our balcony overlooked the front of the hotel, Though not the best view ever, we could see the mountains in the distance.
The food was excellent, with a massive choice of food. If you went to eat in the resturant at a quiet time there was not much of a queue (the hotel provides a chart of the busiest times)
We used the small swimming pool and the water was really warm. When we went to the beach ,we walked along the seafront to find the best place we were always able to find a sunbed.
Look out for the Chinese acrobats, the best entertainment I have ever seen in a hotel.

Stayed at the hotel with my wife and children for 11 nights from 30/07/2010 to 10/08/2010. On booking I asked for 2 non smoking rooms with a pool/sea view and ended up with 2 smoking rooms looking over a supermarket and directly over a air condition generator. In the end even after complaining I had to pay 400 euro's as a supplement to get what i wanted. Staff were unfriendly and were un willing to help with complaints. You have to pay for everything even sun bed mattresses and towels(1 euro 50 each day) and you do not get anything unless you pay extra(for example if you are half-board you cannot even get water unless you pay for it.) Everything comes at a additional cost so ensure you have deep pockets.
Plus points - location, childrens activities, negative points - the standard of the rooms more like 2 star(shower curtain smelt, floor tiles loose etc. even after paying the supplement), unfriendly staff, being charged for everything, food choice in the restuarant predictable each day, no balls, lilos etc allowed in the pool you are only allowed to swim. This is definitly not 4 star hotel apart from the hotel entrance and reception area. I would never stay there again and would not recommend it at all. There a are a lot better hotels in the area and a lot cheaper to offering better quality for the price. Several another families were also complaining with similar issues to ours.

Stayed for one weeek from 23rd July on Half Board basis and had a really great time.

Hotel is large and very standard in terms of ameneties, entertainment etc. Food was buffet style with breakfast again very average while dinner was better than expected with a great choice of meats, fish, salad and fresh pasta with show coooking each night for the meat and fish dishes if you wanted it.

The main pool is big and has safe areas for younger children and the second pool must be amongst the hottest on the island. There is also a back gate which takes you from the hotel straight on to the beach which is very handy although for better sand you should walk a few hundred yarsd either side as the beach and water directly opposite the hotel are more suitable for surfers.

There is day and evening entertainment but I can't comment on that as we didn't get involved in the day activities and we were always out in the evening. The staff on the whole were friendly and efficient without being overbearing which again suited us.

Being regular visitors to Tenerife and Las Americas the hotel was ideally positioned for us in terms of favourite bars, shops, restaurants etc

Overall, no complaints, enjoyed our week in the hotel and would go back again if the price was right.

I stayed here for a week with my elderly mother, the rooms look like they have been refurbished within the last couples of years and are excellent quality. The rooms, lounge and pool areas were clean and tidy. The dining rooms could be busy at peak times, but the food was plentiful and a good quality. There was a good range of entertainment, and the hotel is situated in a quiet area, with pleasant shopping nearby.

Having arrived on the 111th of June we could not have been more exited, we went to have a look at the pool area and have a drink in the coco loco bar which we had read about from the brochure which should have been located in the centre of the pool, only to find that this had been knocked down and a building site put in its place, the following morning we were awoken by the noise of circular saws, angle grinding sawing as the builders were constructing a huge frame for a deck this started at 8am and finished at 6pm for the next 6 days the noise was unbearable and we couldn’t get near to the pool without ear plugs. there is renovation work going on all over the hotel and will be some time until you can have a nice holiday there. after complaining to the hotel and tui rep and spending the best part of 2000 euro we were offered a free safe in our room ,the equiverlant of 36 euro my advis stay well clear for at least a year while they cary out renovations.
