I did not find anything positive about this place. The furniture was broken,
the kitchen table was within inches of the bathroom, the bathroom door was broken and badly patched and did not close properly,the sliding closet door constantly came off tracks and one day actually fell on me.
The floors were filthy. If you walked without shoes, your feet were soot
black. The matresses actually had lumps in them and were very very
uncomfortable. You had to put money in a machine for the TV and it
still would not work...so you had to rent a remote from the desk to watch TV. The balcony had plastic table and chairs which would have been okay except they were covered with filth and bird poop. Signs in the elevator frightened you into renting a safe. The halls were dark and it was difficult to find your room even in the day as it was very dark. I would not have gone down the hallway by myself. There was
one kitchen plug to use for the teapot, microwave, toaster, etc. The kitchen was broken down as well. When you opened the drawer, the cabinet door opened and it could not be fixed. There was a broken wine bottle opener in the room, we asked for a new one and were told to go
from the 6th floor to the pool area bar to get it opened...very inconvenient
when a new opener could have been replaced. We also asked for a 2nd pillow and that did not happen until I spoke with the Thomas Cook Rep.
The staff did not appear to care at all and acted as if everything was an ordeal. We begged the rep to send us to another hotel but that was not accomplished. However, after my complaining to the Rep from Thomas Cook, they put a fresh coffee table, new plastic furniture for the balcony and tried to fix some issues...The repairman said he did the best he could but was not able to repair certain things. Every time I passed the front desk, there was someone there complaining and in one case crying over the accommodations. All in all, it was a horrible experience and I would not stay there for free. I will never again with Thomas Cook either as they do not care about their customers either. I have traveled the world and have never ever had an experience like this. I was thrilled to board the plane back to England.
