What can i say, Greengolf was brilliant. I've read all reviews and have a tendency to think some people are talking about a different place.

Anyway, we took 3 of our 4 children ages 7, 16 and 20 and what a brilliant time we all had. The complex is great, very very clean (no creepy crawlies) and the staff were great. Good entertainment and the food was great. We went self catering but did have the odd meal in the poolside restaurant and treated ourselves to the posh restaurant and breakfast on our last day. (yummy) It was just the right size for a complex, low rise and compact which meant you didn't have to walk far to the pool. The only thing we weren't keen on was that it was a cashless resort, which meant you put money on your room card and spent like that. The shop was expensive but luckily for us we had hired a car so used the local supermarkets.... We will definately go all-inclusive next time... Pool attendants were very vigilant and so was the kids club leader. Water polo, darts, table tennis and a couple of other things that don't come to mind.

Getting into town is easy, it is a short walk down the hill (thank god we hired a car) and yes there was the odd prostitute but they never bother you....and remember when you get to the bottom of the hill take a left turn not a right otherwise you'll end up in the grottier side of town. The left was superb and we had many wonderful nights in the cafes and bars. The shops were amazing, top notch...... and the street entertainment was trully fantatsic.

Days out: Mount Teide
Loro park
Siam Park (you can actually walk across the road to this)

These are the days out we chose to do but there is so much more. Days out can add quite alot to your holiday so be careful to budget yourselves....

We just loved this holiday and will definately being going back in the future....

p.s. weather was brill..

When I arrived at the Green Golf with my fiancee i thought it was going to be a lovely holiday for us. The staff were friendly, helpful and spoke good english, the apartments appeared beautiful and the pool are was very nice. Into the week i found that my room was full of huge cockroaches and beetles. i thought that this was out of order because there is soo much you can to keep these out of the apartments. i had originally paid to extend my room because i was on a night time flight and you had to check out by 11:00 but when had cockroaches in the sofa behind the tv and in the hallway i had to ask for a refund on that extention once we did that the nice hotel staff turned nasty and said we were no longer allowed to use our all inclusive to get drinks.

we stayed at the green golf resort in november 2008, it was a lovely clean and friendly place, staff are very helpfull and polite, we stayed in first choice 2 bed villa with its own splash pool, it was spacious and well furnished with a bedroom, bathroom, kitchen and large lounge leading out to a big balcony on the first floor and then downstairs there was another bedroom, bathroom and lounge leading out to a lovely terrace area and splash pool, it was like having your own seperate apartments and believe me when your travelling with 2 teenage girls who didn,t get in till the early morning it was a blessing, we did see a few cockroaches but nothing much, and there was building work going on across the street but this didn,t bother us whatsoever as we where out nearly all day round the lovely pool and gardens, the key card worked really well for us as we didn,t have to carry cash on complex and our money was perfectly safe in the the safes, the reception staff where very helpful, our kettle didn,t work and before i got back to the villa after reporting it there was another one there, we had clean towels every day when the maids came i think they came 5 times a week, we used to walk down to las americas early evening but i wouldn,t do this in the dark as the prostitutes come out and it is rather dark so i suggest getting a taxi, anyway we absolutely loved it and we are going back in october for 3 weeks in the same villa, can,t wait

After reading recent reviews we were a bit nervous about going to this hotel, but it was nothing to worry about,as a family of 5 with 3 small children we stayed in a 2 bedroom duplex apartment which was spotlessly clean and very spacious, the pool area was lovely and clean with plenty of sunbeds around the pool we never came across any sunbeds being reserved (as was mentioned in previous reviews)we ate at the poolside bar a few times which was lovely and even went all inclusive on our last whole day there.its 30 euros an adult and 15 euros a child and the kids could have as much ice cream as they wanted,we had a bbq night that evening which was really nice with steaks, chicken, pork chops, spare ribs etc..really good value for money. The only downside to this hotel is the location with 3 small children its a fair way to walk and would really recommend hiring a car,but theres always taxis parked at the end of the street waiting for fairs which would take all 5 of us,there prices did vary from anything between 5 and 9 euros which was a bit on the expensive side.As for the ladies of the night we only ever came across one on the main road into town which is quite a fair way from this hotel, theyve got 24 hr reception with really friendly staff and safes are also located in reception, also the no cash policy really worked for us as we did'nt have to carry cash around and when you buy something you just tell them you're room number,
overall we really enjoyed our stay at this hotel and would go back but next time we'd hire a car.

The villa was booked through first choice but did not state that it was on a complex but inside the villa was very nice. The complex was up to a high standard but you had to have an account with reception to buy things from the bar or the supermarket. You could upgrade to all inclusive but it was 30 euros per person per day and 15 for under 15's.The complex was made up of mainly swedish travellers but everyone spoke english. The villa was facing building work which went on from 8am to 6pm Mon to Fri and was quite noisy. But please beware the path which you had to use to walk from the villa into Las Americas was littered with condoms and prostitutes used it at night and the resort had Africans selling drugs as well as sunglasses and our son was mugged whilst we where there and thay even took his trainers!!!The weather was not great about 22 degrees but very cloudy and the exchange rate was about 1.04 to the pound.
