“Not a four star”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2013

Looks a lovely hotel but very basic once inside. Dining room like a canteen. Not much choice at breakfast. Was like a free for all. Pools freezing. Rooms basic. Moved rooms as was on the front of hotel and was extremely noisy from one for the bars so spoke to reception and was moved to quieter room on the side. Good position for playa or los cristianos. Many restaurants opposite hotel to eat in, very good food.

Dear borntoholiday67,

Thank you very much for your feedback. Unfortunately it is not as positive as we would like it to be but I hope that you have still been able to enjoy your holidays in spite of the few points mentioned by you.

Although we offer more than 130 different elements at breakfast each day, it seems that not always we can meet everyone´s requests. Please, let us know your preferences and we will try to get them for you.

I´m glad to know that our reception staff has been able to assist you moving rooms to provide you a quieter stay. We always do as much as we can to offer our guests the best service, according to their preferences and requests.

For us it will be a pleasure to welcome you again. Please, feel free to contact us for any request.

Best regards,

Stayed here with my 5 yr old in Feb school holiday .Rooms are so old fashioned and need major refurbishment .The pool area is terrible ,broken tiles, rundown area.
Great location but think hard before spending your money here ,much nicer hotels in Tenerife.

Dear Adele D,

Thank you very much for your short but clear report.

I am sorry to know that our facilities have not been up to your expectations. We have the intention to carry out a full refurbishment of the rooms as soon as possible, adding new and useful elements that will make our guests stay more pleasant.

Regarding the pool area, it has been fully refurbished five years ago and given its constant and massive use, our maintenance team keeps special attention to it, replacing faulty tiles whenever they are harmed by the use of the sun beds, umbrellas, etc.

I hope you will continue visiting Tenerife and its beautiful weather and surroundings in the future.

All the best,

I just fell in love with palace first time I've seen it.pool is beautiful, I enjoyed every minute spent there. Rooms weren't too bad, anyway we only slept there as there was so many things to do so many places to visit (restaurants :) yummy) as the location was great, few steps and we got Spanish restaurant which was lovely.
Staff very friendly, cleanness good. I had there the best holiday in my life :)

We booked this hotel in 2012.
Lovely check in staff.
Then reviews were being put on and we thought OMG,what have we done,we no the area well and we use accommodation mainly as a base.

Like people have said the hotel needs some TLC,they are celebrating 25yrs this year.

We were pleased with the position of our room we asked for mountain view facing Cleopatra Palace and that's what we got sun in the evening and great for people watching enjoying a drink on the balcony our room was over the children's play area room 5012.
Lovely pool area, plenty of free loungers, pool bar, also use of CP pool.

Kids club looked really good and children seemed to be enjoying themselves 2 young girls running it seemed to be enjoying there job.

Free safe, mini fridge we used for 3 days at 8.55euro.
Tele was hit and miss which we never bothered about that,2 large beds pushed together, aircon controlled in the room but we never needed to use it.
Few toiletries, comb, q tips, hairdryer which made lot's of noise but was useless.
Rooms cleaned everyday, towels changed if you put them in the bath, sheets changed.

We were on B&B,restaurant opened at 6.30 till 10.30am,plenty of choice fresh food being put out all the time we had no problem like some people have mentioned, there's also outside dining.
4 lift's which were fast.
Hotel in a fab location and back gate taking you onto the prom/beach you had to use your key to access the gate.
We would stay again at the right price.

Room Tip: Mountain view, sun in the evening which suited us better as we were out all day great for people watc...

Dear finney,

Let me thank you for the time invested on writing such a long and detailed feedback. I´m glat to read that you have enjoyed most aspects of our service and I hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back soon.

This hotel is focused on families and this is the reason why we try to offer them each service they might need, like a well served kids club and a complete buffet experience, with all you can need.

If you ever return, please, inform our reception staff of any issue ( like the faulty hairdryer) and we will solve it as soon as possible.

Warmest regards,

Esteban Sedano

We have stayed before at this hotel, and the welcome was warm and friendly, really glad to see us back. We are still really impressed with the level of service, nothing is too much trouble, the rooms are spotless, has a beautiful pool, food is great, fabulous location, back entrance opens onto promenade, right on the seafront. Walk out the front entrance and there are plenty of great restaurants and fabulous shops, with a taxi rank just outside as well.

Room Tip: we always pay a bit more and get a pool view room, quieter and has sun all afternoon.

This is our third time at this hotel and still the same brilliant service from all the staff. I agree that the rooms are a little dated but they are cleaned everyday. The pool area is lovely and it is a pleasure to chill out there during the day. We only stay bed and breakfast but the food is plentiful and a good choice. All the communal areas are welcoming and a lot of refurbishment has been done. The new shop/cafe is a welcome addition which we used every day. We paid for a room with a pool view and it is well worth the upgrade for the fantastic views. Will definitely be booking again.

Dear Siatermaria,

Thank you very much for your kindness sharing here your nice words and positive feedback about your recent stay with us.

I am glad to read that you have appreciated our services and staff attitude and I totally agree on the need of a refurbishment of the rooms. Luckily, we have been able to carry out a few works to update the common areas and soon we will plan the working schedule for the rooms change.

I hope we will have the luck to enjoy the pleasure of your company in the future.

Superb location on seafront. Flat and no need to use ANY steps in hotel (lifts to everywhere). Ideal if u have difficulty getting around. Sunbeds plentiful, lovely breakfasts with vast choice of great shops and restaurants close by. Yes the rooms are smaller than the very modern hotels but quite adequate with individual balconies. Guests can use the facilities of either hotel. Families are best served at the Med Palace and for a peaceful day sunbathing go Cleopatra. Great flat walking (if you are able!) along seafront in both directions but a bit of hassle from restaurant 'pushers' along the way. Some areas need refurbishing but overall an excellent holiday hotel.
