Well I stayed at La Siesta from 5th to 8th June on Half board basis with 9 other females, ages ranged from 22 to 50 and everyone had a great time, the hotel is large and clean with a great pool, albeit it was quite cold but still great all the same!
We had the option to chose either lunch or dinner on half board basis which was good, we chose lunch and went out for dinner at night, the selection at lunch was ok, not sure about the hot foods as we tended to choose a large salad! Breakfast was great, plenty of fried foods and healthy options. Mustn't forget the champagne!!! Yum!
Our room and bathroom were very spacious, with a couch and desk also, we were on the ground floor with a terrace area with 2 sunloungers, table and chairs, no view but that didn't really bother us, It was really quite private though.
The room was cleaned to a high standard. Although when arriving back at our room on the first night we were greeted by 3 rather large cockroaches. We went to reception and got a spray to kill them and tended to leave our lights on at night so as not to attract anymore! I would still recommend the hotel but opt for a higher floor. In fact i've already booked it for September so it hasn't put me off.
The hotel is very central and easy to find your way about, lots of restaurants/bars/shops nearby. I would recommend a night at the Soul Suite and dinner before hand in the Chinese next door!
They do not provide pool towels and the hairdryer is in the bathroom and not that great.
They had happy hour at the hotel bar from 6pm-7pm when it was buy 1 get 1 free, drinks did tend to be quite expensive and everything is billed to your room. The pool bar do selected lunchtime snacks and ice cold drinks.
We had no problem with sunloungers and there were 10 of us...but the hotel was only 40% full, it may be a different story come peak season!!
If I were you I certainly would not dismiss this hotel and enjoy your holiday if you do decide on it.
