Well I stayed at La Siesta from 5th to 8th June on Half board basis with 9 other females, ages ranged from 22 to 50 and everyone had a great time, the hotel is large and clean with a great pool, albeit it was quite cold but still great all the same!

We had the option to chose either lunch or dinner on half board basis which was good, we chose lunch and went out for dinner at night, the selection at lunch was ok, not sure about the hot foods as we tended to choose a large salad! Breakfast was great, plenty of fried foods and healthy options. Mustn't forget the champagne!!! Yum!

Our room and bathroom were very spacious, with a couch and desk also, we were on the ground floor with a terrace area with 2 sunloungers, table and chairs, no view but that didn't really bother us, It was really quite private though.

The room was cleaned to a high standard. Although when arriving back at our room on the first night we were greeted by 3 rather large cockroaches. We went to reception and got a spray to kill them and tended to leave our lights on at night so as not to attract anymore! I would still recommend the hotel but opt for a higher floor. In fact i've already booked it for September so it hasn't put me off.

The hotel is very central and easy to find your way about, lots of restaurants/bars/shops nearby. I would recommend a night at the Soul Suite and dinner before hand in the Chinese next door!

They do not provide pool towels and the hairdryer is in the bathroom and not that great.
They had happy hour at the hotel bar from 6pm-7pm when it was buy 1 get 1 free, drinks did tend to be quite expensive and everything is billed to your room. The pool bar do selected lunchtime snacks and ice cold drinks.

We had no problem with sunloungers and there were 10 of us...but the hotel was only 40% full, it may be a different story come peak season!!

If I were you I certainly would not dismiss this hotel and enjoy your holiday if you do decide on it.

We have just returned on 9 June from a 7 night break. I never saw any of the so called problems some people have complained about. The room was very clean, staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food was most acceptable.
I would have no hesitation in recommending this hotel and I am basing this opinion on the fact that I have stayed at the other 4 star hotels in the vicinity i.e. Conquistador, Bitacora, Tenerife Princess.

After looking in from the outside for over 20 years of going to PDLA, finally gave it a go and the hotel "does what it says on the tin" a middlin 4* hotel, nice pool areas, sunny and shade areas and a good supply of beds, food was fine with plenty to keep us going for breakfast and dinner for 2 weeks with a variety of themed nights, the entertainment in the evenings was pretty good in the main, never really got involved in daytime entertainment but the 2 kids 10 + 5 seemed to be kept busy, the rooms were nice and large, well kept our view had to be the best/worst how you look at it overlooking the back of the sexshop/shopping complex, be aware if you book, try to avoid rooms 043-45,143-145,243-245 etc, as it does "hit" you in the face when you look out from the balcony but you do overlook the tennis/basketball court so they are nice quiet rooms, if you know PDLA the hotel was in a good location, the biggest downside to this hotel is the "credit" card system and the price of the drinks 3.74 euro for a regular soft drink at the pool bar :0, but the supermarket opposite is only 1 euro for the same.

I have just come back from a weeks stay (29th May - 5th June), at La Siesta hotel and everything was way above my expectations having read previous reviews on Trip Advisor.

Having been to Tenerife before I knew the location would be perfect, close enough to walk to nightlife, beach, shopping etc.

On arrival the reception staff were very helpful and spoke good English. We had a safe at 2 euros a day which was pretty reasonable and also the minibar stocked with drinks and crisps as we wanted to keep our own water etc.

The pool area was lovely and very clean, I would imagine the hotel was quite quiet but there were stacks and stacks of sunbeds so even when busy there should be plenty.

My boyfriend and I stayed half board and had planned on going out for dinner some nights but as the food was so good with various themed nights (Mexican, Italian, BBQ) we didn't bother. The selection at breakfast was amazing everything you good wish for! The hotel drinks were rather expensive but there are better offers on at the nearby bars and clubs. Anything thing purchased in the hotel is charged to your room so remember to keep tabs on what you've spent. Gentlemen must wear trousers to dinner in the evening but jeans are fine.

All in all a fantastic weeks holiday! Would definately go back!
