Had a fantastic 2 weeks all inclusive family holiday with our 2 children aged 10 and 6, friendly and efficient reception staff, lovely and very clean appartment with a sun terrace and balcony which had stunning views and overlooked the golf course. Plenty of variety both with the food and drink choices bar staff also very friendly and worked extremely hard. three pools (baby pool, medium pool next to it and down some stairs was a large pool with spa). Plenty of activities for both adults and kids throughout the day and evening entertainment every night which we also enjoyed as a family. complex also has a shop which sells international brands however, as with all resorts was a little expensive, there is also a small play area and arcade which has internet access. All staff within the hotel have a good understanding and can communicate well to conversation there is also a linguist on site. Hotel and restaurant manager always around and very friendly and approachable. Will definetly be going back as we all had a great time.

I can see that so many people are complaining, and it was the same when we stayed at the resort just last week. But what we realised straight away, was that the people complaining were just being completely petty!!!
this hotel is gorgeous, the rooms are great sizes and the facilities are good. the swimming pools are gorgeous and are of great sizes. there is a kids pool that is shallow and small, but thats what you would expect for a child's pool. the one directly next to it is quite a small pool too, but again that is mostly used by children and is used for all of the resorts water activites, which makes it great because that leaves the largest pool free for everyone to just get on with having fun. the largest pool is a great size, and has a jacuzzi situated in it. the pools are all of great condition, and there is nothing wrong with them. although it is true that the floor tiles around the outside of the pool do become slippy, but this is true of all swimming pool areas, so rather than moan about it, just be careful!
while we were on holiday, we noticed that the people doing all the complaining, were the people that didn't do anything. they just sat around all day, and eating as much food as they could, depsite the fact that they complained about they food?!?! make sense of that, it seems that those people just go away to complain and really they need to get a life and enjoy the fact that they are on holiday and should make the most of it!!
the food was lovely, with it being an all inclusive hotel, it is important to remember that they try to cater to all needs, and so yes everyday there is chips and pizza, but no one says that is the kids menu. there isn't a specific kids menu, its just there, because if all else fails, most people will eat that. everyday there is something new to choose from, and they are very nice dishes. there were pasta dishes, fish dishes, meat dishes all in very nice sauces, with fresh fruit, salad and vegetables to choose from everyday.
the reception staff are very friendly and help as much as they can.
the hotel is kept very clean, you will notice that the cleaning staff are there from the early hours until early evening. we did find that they don't always replace the towels when they service the room, but all that you have to do is phone to reception for new towels and they have some sent up. its as simple as that, problem solved.
i think what is important to remember when going on any holiday, is not to expect the ritz! you're going to a holiday resort aimed at families. it is not going to be perfect, but it is really good. yes complain if there is a serious problem, but if you're shouting at your rep for 2 hours because they're not serving Gordon Ramsay style food, stop, and think to yourself, is it really worth it, when really i could be enjoying a cocktail (included on inclusive drinks btw) by the pool with my friends and family and having a laugh?!?!?!
One more thing i will point out, is that the views aren't as perfect as you would hope for, but thats because not every hotel can be on the sea front. this is a holiday resort and they always tend to be a little way out from the beach, so your views will mostly be of the resort, but you don't go on holiday to look out of a window, you go away to explore and have fun, and do things, not sit around.
i'm hoping this review will help people realise that you shouldn't focus on the bad things on holiday, look to the good and make the most of it, but even so, the Oasis Gold Resort is a GORGEOUS resort with really friendly, helpful staff, with loads of activites for all ages, and its only a 5 euro taxi to veronicas strip, las americas and los christianos. have a nice time! :D:D:D WE DID! x x x

  • Liked — gorgeous hotel, great place to hang out in the day time by the pool.
  • Disliked — all the people that moaned because they are miserable!

I came back from my holiday on friday 4th and only stayed there for the first week of my holiday. I went away with my mum and my 4 year old son. When we arrived we liked what we saw until that is that we got to our room.. as soon as we got through the door we noticed some very steep marble steps that take you down to the bedroom, which my son fell on a few times. Downstairs had two single beds and upstairs was a camping style bed that folded in half, which they expected my 4 year old son to sleep on. we werent happy with this and moved the "sofa bed" downstairs. The door didnt lock which is extremely dangerous where children are concerned as you could just open it. The pool area was very clean but the floor in our apartment was never cleaned and whilst i was in the bath one evening i spotted dried sick under the toilet which was most definately not any of ours! We found we were stuck in the middle of nowhere with a bus that takes you to the centre at set times of the day, we werent all inclusive which meant paying 6 or 7 euros for a taxi (one way) every night just to go for a meal. We stayed at the resort one night and found the food not very nice. I asked the lady at the bar one day if i could buy a sandwich for my son, she said no we werent allowed, they were for the all inclusive guests! It was totally unsuitable for self catering especially as the on -site shop only opened at set times then closed all afternoon. We felt isolated and were very unhappy so we asked to move for the second week. We did but at a cost of 300 euros. The entertainment was rubbish, everything was over priced and i honestly wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.

We went here on the 20th June for two weeks A.I, we had two sons aged 4 and 6 with us. The resort it's self is beautiful and very clean, BUT, the food was appaling.
Terrible choice for children, hot-dogs,burgers,pizza and chips the two weeks we were there,oh yes and SQUID!!!
The food is layed out buffet style, the food always was some sort of pasta, salad and fish. The meals themselves were not very hot. We complained and was told sorry, and was asked what kind of things they should have for kids. But still the same food kept coming! We were given a bottle of cheap sparkling wine to say sorry, which we gave away.
If you have a while to go before going here, I'd go back to travel agent and change resorts.
The entertainment was poor, although they did try their best.
If you have been told this is a 4* hotel it's not, it's only 3*.
The other down side is you need to get a taxi everywhere, there is a free bus service which runs at certain times.

  • Liked — It was very clean.
  • Disliked — Steep staircase inside it.

Having never stayed at this resort before you are always a little nervous on arrival. I'm glad to say that the standard and cleanliness was above our expectations. There are a lot of steps but as long as you don't have any walking difficulties the slope adds to the ambience of the resort. The landscaping is particulary good and everything is easy to find on site. Our only problem was that there were a high proportion of all inclusive guests staying and as we were self catering it led to some confusion over charging. I made a point of reading the tripadvisor reviews before going and think that complaints about the entertainment and over priced shop are unfair. The entertainment wasn't to my taste at all but no-one forces you to watch it and the shop is a convenience and you wouldn't expect it to be cheap. All in all i would recommend this resort highly and would go back myself but maybe at a quieter time of year.

Me and my boyfriend (both 18) stayed at the Oasis Golf and we miss it so much already!! The hotel was perfect - at least for us. Everything about the hotel was gorgeous, especially the apartments which were big and set on 2 storeys with both a balcony and terrace.

Firstly, the rooms. There were a couple of different types of rooms - I imagine the self catering rooms (which we stopped in) were all together in a quiet area away from the pool (I'll try get a map of the hotel up!!), there were some which appeared to be 3 storey which I think were the double bedroomed ones, I think the all inclusive were up the steps but right at the top were the ones with the sun terraces. Our kitchen had a frige, freezer, microwave, kettle, coffee machine, 2 ring hob, oven, kettle, pans, frying pan, a teatowel, plenty of utensils and cooking equipment. There was a tv with 2 free channels in the lounge and comfy chairs along with a small dining table with a matching one on the balcony. Downstairs in the bedroom there was plenty of wardrobe space with more coathangers than I'd expected, the room in general was very spacious. In the bathroom we had several towels and was well stocked with loo roll!!

In the day time there were some activities such as the kids club, water aerobics, darts and killer pool but not a huge range - maybe because we went out of the school holidays. There was a suncare advisor which was a nice touch. We didn't stay in the hotel on an evening but it seemed as though they had stuff going on.

The supermarket was great, but quite expensive. It had everything from big bottles of water to marshmellows!! On average it did cost about 1 euro more than the shops in town. You have to pay on the card in credit that you put on at reception (which you get any left over back when you check out) which was good because it meant you weren't carrying change about. The downside was that they didn't tell you how much you had left so you felt as though you're money was just disappearing!! A couple of times we were told we didn't have enough credit.

The hotel was about a 20 minute walk away from both towns. We preffered Americas becuase there was more to do and see. We didn't go to clubs so can't recommend any!! Anyway, the walk was ok on a night but at midday it was just too hot. We got a taxi for about 5 euro.

I will put some more photos on as soon as possible. I would recommend this hotel to anybody, maybe not those who have walking difficulties or hate inclines!! Loved it!!

  • Liked — apartment
  • Disliked — entertainment..but still ok!! just didn't try much..
