“I just can't believe it's CLOSED DOWN”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 18, 2012

A trip down into Porto Colon for a nice meal at our regular haunt when in Tenerife, gave us a shock. There it was, GONE. Closed. Shut. No more. A Building Site. We spoke to a waiter who used to work there, and he confirmed it was not going to re-open. Reason why? Can't print it here as I don't know if the reasons were true or not.

In any case, as we left for home, where there was once the Blue Marlin, they were putting the finishing touches to yet another Perfumerie. Well, you can't eat that can you ;)

Not fussed on any other restarants in the Port apart from the Slow Boat Chinese (see other review), so off we went in search of another cheapie. We were not happy.... The Blue Marlin had pretty good food at a great price in a great location. Hard to replace that one.

We did find Gordon Ramseys another night. See that review.

“Good food, good location ok service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 31, 2012 via mobile

Went here a couple of times. Food is good, prices reasonable (2for1 on meals 6-8pm) and daughter loved the spagbol. Steak was ok, seafood was great.

Service is ok but think they work hard on getting you in and less so once you are there.

It's worth a visit and one of the better places in torviscas/fanabe area.

“Excellent choice”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2012

It's not easy in Tenerife trying to pass the restaurant touts and the other touts, to be honest the guys in the Blue Marlin were very nice in comparison to the others. Glad we went in the food and the service was excellent. Was there just after 6pm and the meals were all 'buy one get one free' which was a bonus, the quality of food was worth full price. Highly recommend. Try the prawns.. Yummy..

“Great evening deals”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 19, 2012

Ate in the Blue Marlin twice during a recent holiday. Have to admit that the overall service and food was better first time round, but despite the poor service on the second visit I would still certainly return there the next time we are in the area. We ordered the Three Kings which was a mixede dish of chicken, pork and beef. Great first time, but the second time it was mainly chicken. All the meals were very tasty, and the kids meals were good too - our daughter loved the fish and chips, which were fish goujons which looked and tasted very nice with proper fish rather the usual processed that you tend to get.
