“excellent family friendly hotel A******”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 17, 2011

We traveled as couple with three boys aged 2,3, and 11 and it was the perfect place.
Safe and family friendly hotel that i would recommend to anyone. We had a 2 bed bungalow right beside the pool and water-splash area, which was spotless and cleaned daily (even had PS2 bring games for the big kids). We went all inclusive and the food was excellent with something for everyone, even the kiddies, who had their own mini buffet with ice-cream and toppings for dessert !! There is lemonade, beer and wine dispensers at the bars so you can help yourself throughout the day for drinks, no queuing!
There is a kids club everyday from 10.30am to 12.30pm and again at 3.30pm to 5.30pm for children 3years and up, under 3years can join in but must have an adult with them, my 3 year old went a few times during the two weeks and loved it, the staff there are great and really make it fun for all kids. There are two enclosed parks at the two large pools and a splash area at the back large pool which all the children loved.
It says free wifi at the bars but we where able to use it inside and outside bungalow at all times.
Only fault was the beds in our room were a bit uncomfortable, however, there are thick fleeces in the wardrobe that can be placed under the sheets that sorted out the problem, only wished i thought of them sooner. The kids mattresses were new and very comfortable.
I love this hotel and cant wait to go back next year, or sooner if possible!!!

Room Tip: Ask to stay near the pool

We went for 7 days self catering - we're a couple with no children. Apparently the week we stayed was a particularly quiet week and the hotel was at one third capacity. Although it got busier on our last day - the Saturday.

The bungalow had everything we needed, it didn't have aircon but the weather wasn't too hot so the 2 ceiling fans were sufficient. The furniture was adequate but not modern - for what we paid it was more than satisfactory.

The kitchen had everything except for an oven - which is normal for self catering. The utensils and crockery appeared to be brand new.

There was just a shower in the bathroom - there were a few ants but the can of ant spray provided by the hotel staff soon dealt with them.

The beds and pillows were comfortable - we slept well - there was no noise in the night time at all.

The TV only had one English speaking channel which was a news channel which was a bit disappointing.

The patio area was lovely and we had our own sun loungers.

Our bungalow was close to the pool, and even the farthest ones were not too far to walk.

There are 2 pools though we only used the main one - which was very large and clean. The deepest it goes it 1.4 metres. There are plenty of sun loungers and parasols, there was never a shortage. There is free Wifi at the pool area.

Any things that were not as expected were dealt with very quickly (i.e. the room wasn't cleaned 1 day, and ants).

Most of the reception staff were very friendly apart from one.

The majority of the guests at the hotel were Germans, with the remainder being Spanish. Everyone kept themselves to themselves - which suited us.

The hotel isn't in the centre of Playa Des Ingles but a short walk to the centre. The beach is about 25 minutes walk and there is a free bus service from the hotel. There is a big complex called Yumbo which is only 5 minutes walk - there is a large gay community there.

We would definitely go there again.

just back from the parque cristobal on monday with my wife and 3 kids and have to say the place was great. yes mostly germans but that wasn't a problem whatsoever as everyone kept to themselves. most familys seemed to be all inclusive but we didn't as we like to eat in different places most nights. we mainly went to playa del ingles and dined in the torro negro restaurant in the kasbah which has fabulous steaks and the staff were wonderful with our kids.we also went to flanigans bar in the irish centre where the drinks were very reasonable and the kids drinks were free all night.we done the submarine tour in puerto mogan which was great and also the boat trip where we spotted dolphins and had a great time being entertained by a funny little guy called johnny tequila. overall a brilliant holiday and only bit of advice is if you go to the waterpark take flip flops because you wont be able to walk on the tiles between rides as its so hot

This is a wonderful hotel that is centrally located and very close to the bus stop which is incredibly convenient and easy to figure out. The staff is friendly and the food is EXCELLENT!!! The Friday evening BBQ made the entire trip worth it. Here are some things we loved about the hotel:
- EXCELLENT food and selection (wow!)
- Bungalows were pretty basic, but had air conditioning & was comfortable
- Close to shopping, restaurants, and bus stop
- Kids pool and water park -- kids loved this!
- Nice hot showers

Here are a few things they could improve on, although I would still stay here again despite these issues:
- Entertainment was late in the evening (9:30 pm) so it wasn't great for families w/ young kids who needed to be in bed
- Floors and furniture in the room were dirty when we arrived (the maid fixed this after day 1)
- Beds were hard and pillows were flat
- The "jacuzzi hot tub" they advertise is NOT hot at all...not even warm
- Bathrooms were extremely small, especially for those w/ families
- All rooms have a patio w/ table and sun chairs, but we didn't have a room with a yard to enjoy it

Room Tip: Get a room w/ a yard!

Stayed in school holidays at beginning of April with partner and 3 children,9,11,14. This is a very well run hotel that does not have very many Brits staying there-about 15%.(never heard a swear word for 2 whole weeks) Not a problem as everyone spoke english when needed. The entertainment team work all day every day in lots of languages. Loads for under 6's to do through the day and things for other age groups but not loads for teenagers to get involved in. The team put on a bit of entertainment at 9.30pm for 1 hour. Something different every evening for 2 weeks with things such as quizes, shows in the theatre, board games, casino's etc (not a Tom Jones lookaliky in sight). The food was lovely and varied over the 2 weeks, just aswell there were 3 or 4 fitness classes per day, all free. Nice little buffet for smaller children to help themselves and feel grown-up.
Meals were served for 2 to 3 hours at a time with ice cream and pastries out for an hour and half in the after-self service. People who complain about not enough snacks or not enough ice cream are probably just greedy as i was trying to behave myself and i put on half a stone!
The management were always out and about making sure things ran smoothly and obviously listened to what customers want ie extended checkout to 12 noon, shower rooms if needed after checkout all inclusive is extended if you have a late pickup on last day .
Bungalows are clean and spacious. all low level with nobody dragging furnature around in rooms above and below. Clean and quiet hotel with no noise after 11pm at night.
It did get a bit noisier on a weekend when Spanish turned up for weekend breaks but Blackpool IT WAS NOT!
Funny watching people reserve sunbeds by the pools on a morning as there were enough sunbeds and enough space for half the island to enjoy.
20 mins to the beech on foot or the free shuttle bus to bail you out.
All in all this is the only place my hard to please hubby would ever go back to!

Room Tip: Quiet, peaceful, great food, fab entertainment team

We were at the Parque Christobal in April 2011, we checked in at approx 2.00, we were
in bungalow no 1, it was a good walk from the reception, but we were surprised , we had a two bedroom bungalow which was well equipt and clean, though we were on all inclusive, we do like to have a cup of tea in the morning and a kettle fridge etc was there.
I would not have like to be there in July August time the rooms only had fans, also the bungalow was by the main road, but this was no worry to us.
The swimming pools were lovely, the smaller one was slightly heated, and I was swimming every day.
The entertainment was awful, we left the hotel most nights, to walk to the surrounding area, and the Yumbo centre which was not far.
The drinks were very good and the irish coffee were fab, but this is the only hotel we have been in where the bar shuts at 11.00, AI, PROMPT.
The food was o k, breakfast was quite good( but they only served hot dog sausages not britsh ones) bacon fatty. lunch and dinner one again o k mostly the food was luke warm
this did worry us a little.
We were due to leave on Monday 11th and all through the night I had a bug, My husband
visited the doctor and she gave me tablets but was not sure of me flying, thank god they worked, but I was so glad to get home. I don't know if it was the food or there was a bug there.
We are both retired, but if we were young couple with small children I think this would be a good holiday, it is catered for a family holiday,
I was glad that I only booked a week.
Looking forward to our next holiday in June In our fav e place Cyprus
ps. if you want a beach holiday this is not for you the hotel bus is provided, but forget walking its to far
,

Room Tip: email them and asked for a bungalow by the pool
