Hotel was fine overall but really disappointing on a couple of things. First, we picked the hotel beacause it was family friendly but we didn't realise that you had to be Scandanavian. At the time we booked we knew the extra family activities had reduced but we didn't realise the UK reps had gone home to be replaced by their Scandanavians counterparts. Don't get me wrong, the Scandanvian reps we lovely people with great english but all the entertainment was geared towards Scandanavians, and this is not what we signed up for. The second thing was the dining room, we've been on many buffet style half board holidays but this one was chaos. We had to queue to get in and be seated and then queue again for food. The food was average. Might be better in the summer but we won't be taking the chance.

Hi I returned yesterday from a weeks holiday with my husband and a our children (girl aged 12 and boy aged 6) at Hotel Orquidea. I was so impressed I felt that I just had to review it. Where to start, this hotel is first to be dropped off from airport and last to be collected bonus after long flight and with children! We arrived and had swift check-in no problems at all. We chose a themed room which the children looved and enjoyed a visit from Thomson the dog and a private VIP party! They also get a wheeled suitcase to take home printed in Thomson the dog which was a nice little extra! We went all inclusive and I would DEFINATELY recommend this. The food is first class!! The choice during Breakfast Lunch and particlualy Dinner is AMAZING. IN 7 days we had about 8 different choices each night!!! The staff are so friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is immaculate!! The rooms are cleaned daily and the pool and grounds are kept spotless!! The kids entertainment provided by Thomson From May to October is the best we have ever seen, they really never stop!! The kids clubs were loved by both our children and there are extra sessions run daily from 3.30pm till 5.30pm and some evening sessions from 7.30pm till 9.30pm that you pay just 3 euros each for ( the set hours for the actual kids clubs are free though, you only pay for the extra ones) mine loved going to them and asked everyday!! The chocolate party was a good one! After the kids entertainment every ni9ght there is a show and they too were excellent especially the Las Vegas Tribute and the Chinese Acrobats! The reps could not do more Princess Kerry Baby Freya Becca Boo and Big Daddy are excellent so to the kidzone reps Disco Dave Super Sophie Charis from Paris Scousy B to name but a few.
I could go on and on about how good this hotel is please go and see for yourself I will definately try to get back again this year but will be the first to book for next year when it goes on sale. Some of the reviews on here are quite old and don't include any all inclusive reviews which was why I felt I had to wite you could really go with not one pence in your pocket and it wouldn't matter!! Its ALL INCLUSIVE honestly!!
We had tears from both my children when we left as they had fell in love wit the place and made some great friends as did my husband and I. WELL DONE THOMSON WE ARE HOOKED!!!!

I have just returned from Hotel Orquidea in Bahia Feliz and wanted to pass on to others an honest opinion as I indeed always look at other peoples views.
The overall holiday was good.The Hotel was very bright and lively.
BUT I hasten to add it is for families.
Our room was superb and the staff very helpful.You need a car if you want ot see the island although the bus service just outside the hotel to all parts was very good.
A few shops and restaurants makes up the complete picture of this small resort.
Food was so so.But when you are catering for hundreds then you expect this.
Meal times were a frantic scramble for tables though in the end we left it late to eat to allow for the families to cater for the young ones.
TUI own this hotel and it was mainly occupied by Scandanavians and the entertainment reflected this.
In my opinion the evening entertainment was poor,presented by people who had little personality in dealing with crowds,but as I said this was mainly for children.
I wouldn't choose this hotel again as I like it quiter but that is the only reason.
I have no compalints at all with the rooms they were superb.The weather was good but had it not been there was little around this tiny village to do.
Pools were good but as the brochure said it is very very windy here

we arrive nov 26th 12.20 pm had to wait for about 1hr while the was been cleaned.staff are 10 out 10 and the hotel. only prob was there so any kids there running wild in restruant and the hotel it drove me crazy.the brits were the mynority there.so many hoilday makers from the baltic states it dove us mad plus lot of building work going on from 0700 till 9.00 pm wich were not told of
