“Great service, avarage food.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2013 via mobile

Having read the previous reviews of this establishment, I was excpeting to be blown away.
The service was very good, but the food was not so much more than one could excpect of the avarage mexican restaurant.
The food was served after a 5 minute wait, and being 4 people I suspect not much was home made, and certainly premade.

I suspect the good rarings here to be written by the staff itself, but who knows.

And we got the free "Margarita" in the end. Its not a Maragrits. Its a childres iced drink, with added tequila, premade in a slush machine...

Your children will like this place, but I think there are better options for adults in PdI

“One of The Best Nights I've Ever Had!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

We was recommended this restaurant by the staff at our hotel while on holiday, and we cannot thank them enough for doing so! It is without doubt one of the best nights out we have ever had! From our greeting at the door by the the lovely sombrero wearing gentleman to our leaving with full bellies, everything was perfect! The restaurant is brilliantly decorated in authentic Mexican style and the staff are so genuinely friendly and attentive. We started with a mixture of regular and Mexican garlic bread that was very generous in size and extremely tasty. For mains l had a lovely beef shish kebab with rice, veg and fries. The kebab was topped with a lovely Mexican style topping made from tomatoes. My partner had lamb cutlets topped with pineapple and a bearnaise sauce that was to absolutely die for! It was so good l had to call the manager over to congratulate him on what a wonderful meal it was. This is something l have only done on a few occasions and l would not do easily. Due to being so full we declined a sweet but the manager sent over two complimentary strawberry margaritas which were absolutely lovely! The staff were so polite and attentive throughout and shook our hands as we left. We then had several photos taken with, and by, our new sombrero wearing greeter friend as we left for our taxi home. An absolutely fantastic night out and money so well spent!

“Re-discovered this gem!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 6, 2012 via mobile

What a brilliant night we had, made
by a visit to this establishment. Having had a disappointing start to the evening by a visit to Linekars bar at the Kazbah, we wandered back towards the Yumbo feeling hungry and in need of a restaurant. I then passed Tex-Mex and remembered having been before several years ago. That visit had been great, but I had forgotten the name and where it was. So having a few fussy eaters amongst us I encouraged the group to give it a try. Well best thing I ever did. There was something for everyone and each and every one of us loved it. The staff were exceptionally attentive to our needs and the service was second to none. The food was awesome and tasted nothing like some of the well known chains that sell fajitas. It was wonderful. If you like spice I would particularly recommend the stuffed jalapeño peppers! They even sell wine by the half bottle, and it was decent stuff! The finishing touch was a complimentary beautiful frozen margarita which was quite substantial in size too. So much nicer than the little token shots of chemical cr*p you normally get dished out at other venues. The only thing I cannot comment on was dessert as we were too stuffed to partake!
Brilliant restaurant and worthy of a very positive review!
