On arrival met by friendly professional staff. I was offered a tour of the hotel.arrival was quite late but the restaurant was open until 11pm.the choice in the restaurant of 4 courses was good. ( 2 choices each course) the food each evening was presented beautifully & very varied .
The only downside is the cost of wine cheapest 24 euro bottle small bottle water 5 euro. Exceptionally expensive.
The view from the restaurant was interesting.(8th floor)
The suite was very good with a view of the sea.inc. dressing room, balcony with day bed.(5th floor)
The beach is about 5 mins walk but going to the beach is ok but upon return a lot of steps to climb.
The area around the pool in the hotel was quiet with 3 different areas.

Fabulous hotel, staff extremely helpfull and polite. Beautiful pools, the service is excellent and the bed and bedding to die for, BUT be prepared to pay way over the odds for everything else at the hotel. 13 euros to have a dress ironed, 5 euros for a small bottle of water in the restaurant and 30 euros for a bottle of wine you could probably get for 8 or less in the supermarket. I'm happy to pay a mark up and could afford the prices but I don't like being taken for a mug. The area it is situated in is also not great. To go anywhere nice for an after dinner drink be prepared to get a taxi. There's nowhere really you can just have a stroll to to walk off your four course dinner and have a nice cocktail. Food is fab if somewhat tedious by the end of the holiday. Breakfast is a huge selection but the same day in day out, by the end it started to feel a bit like torture. The evening meal is the same, great food but soup as a second course every night! what I wouldn't have given for a nice green salad. Same if you opt for the cheese option for pudding, few slices of pretty tasteless cheese with pieces of dried fruit. That said the freshly baked bread is heavenly, especially the sea salt and cummin seed crusted rolls, the main meals were all of excellent quality and a nice variety. I enjoyed my week but I wouldn't go back. Oh and lets not forget old sparky on the balcony...............light up chairs that come on everynight by timer. Very uncomfortable hard plastic chairs. If you opt for the suite you get a day bed on the balcony which is fine but we couldn't open both balcony doors as the bed was in the way. Little bit of style over substance.

Dear Mrs J,

Thank you very much for taking the time to write your review of your stay at the Bohemia Suites & Spa*****. For a continuous quality we are happy about every word of our guests.
We are glad that you enjoyed the facilities in our brand-new 5 star hotel. It pleases us that you were contented with your luxury Junior Suite, our gastronomy and the service you received during your stay.

Your comments were forwarded to the management who is already working on an improvement. Our restaurant 360º is well known for having an exclusive wine selection, which is not available in local supermarkets. We kindly inform you that we are already about to extend our wine menu and the selection of water. In future we will include local water and beside our exclusive wine selection we will offer additionally wine at a more favourable price.
Furthermore it is a pity to hear that you did not enjoy the Junior Suite`s amply balcony, with its comfortable day bed. Usually the beds and chairs are located well so that all four doors can be opened without problems. We apologize for the inconvenience and would have loved to solve this problem during your stay, if we would have known about it. Our reception team is on your disposal the 24 hours and always delighted to serve our appreciated guests.
Finally we lament that the breakfast has not enough variety for you. We are always looking for quality and fresh products instead of mass, in order to serve our guests an extraordinary breakfast with stunning views in our Restaurant 360º. Your suggestion regarding the alternation of the courses is already forwarded to our new chef in our Restaurant 360º who is overworking the menus and was highly appreciated.

Once more we express our gratitude to you for having taken the time to describe us your point of view. For a continuous quality we are happy about every comment, suggestions and critics of our guests. Our director Mr. Codina as well as the whole Bohemia Team were glad to have you as our guests and will welcome you with joy again in the Bohemia Suites & Spa*****.

Best regards,

I cannot speak highly enough about this hotel, it was perfect in every way and exceeded even the luxury level I was expecting. An elegant, classy and stylish 5* venue – truly an oasis of understated luxury, contemporary chic and personal guest service of the highest quality. They have somehow too, also managed to create an ambience that is a magical mix combination of relaxing tranquillity combined with refreshing positive energy.

This was my first visit to the Bohemia Suites & Spa and, although I had seen many beautiful pictures and fantastic reviews online, my expectations were fairly open. Almost instantly however I really did feel like I was staying with friends and within a week was regretting I ever had to leave! Even before I had entered the building the attention of the staff was ensuring a special experience – as my car pulled onto the driveway I was welcomed at the door, greeted by name and offered a welcome drink. Once inside, wide-eyed, open mouthed and repeatedly uttering the word “wow”, I was given a personal tour of all the hotel had to offer (whilst my luggage was magically spirited towards my room).

The junior suite I stayed in was colourful and contemporary and very stylishly appointed. A wall of bi-folding glass doors pulled fully back to let the outside in, allowing me to take in the gorgeous ocean/dune view from the pillow-top bed or head outside to relax on the furnished private balcony. Bliss!! The rooms and suites here come in three colour schemes (designer purple, sunny terracotta or bold yellow) – the purple version is particularly gorgeous. All boast mood lighting, mahogany flooring, olive-wood furnishings and high-end gadgets galore (iMacs, iPod docking stations, surround sound music, flat screen TV’s and complimentary Wi-Fi). Coffee lovers will not be disappointed either and all rooms additionally come with walk-in wardrobes, en-suite facilities and showers featuring rainfall showerheads.

The design, decor and exemplary service extends to all corners of the hotel, from the stunning guest rooms to the tranquil and relaxing garden, pool and “wellness” areas, as well as the two top quality restaurants serving delicious modern cuisine, the pool bar and rooftop late night lounge bar. Some tapas or a poolside cocktail? The fantastic “Saphire” pool bar staff has you covered. Don’t want to leave your room? You will want for nothing there either. Want to eat the highest quality food with wine expert on hand and perfect service? Head upstairs to the rooftop “360°” restaurant...

The rooftop a la carte restaurant, “360°”, is a jewel (one of many to be fair) in the hotel’s crown. Reached either through the hotel or via an outdoor glass lift, it offers panoramic views of the ocean, the beach, the Maspalomas dunes, and the mountains. The restaurant (as is the lounge bar) is also open to the public and I overheard it being referred to by locals as the best restaurant in the area. The focus in this restaurant is on the culinary art of dining and the food and service is simply exquisite (the locals’ comments are therefore not surprising). Along from the restaurant, and also on the rooftop, is the fabulous chill-out lounge bar – the perfect place to enjoy a pre-dinner drink watching the sun go down, or relax late into the night with a coffee or a cocktail.

For further relaxation, there are two saunas, a steam bath and several “wellness” areas available that are free to all guests. For the more fitness-minded there is a hi-tech gym, which has floor to ceiling windows overlooking one of the garden/pool areas and the ocean beyond. If it is full-on relaxation you need though, head down to the spectacular and sophisticated Siam Spa. This Spa is again designed in an understated style and specialises in Thai treatments– I can honestly say I have never felt so relaxed and would thoroughly recommend it!!

Being just a stone’s throw from the beach, the hotel benefits from breathtaking views – you can see the ocean, the beach, the Maspalomas dunes or the stunning mountain backdrop from almost every room, suite or restaurant. Despite the partying reputation of the resort of Playa del Ingles, the surrounding area to the Bohemia feels tranquil as it is mostly residential (the shops and main entertainment in Playa del Ingles are all within walking distance however). If your desire instead is to hang out amongst a fusion of designer shops and high-end bars/classy bistros, the more upscale area of Meloneras is also right next door (as are the golf clubs in Maspalomas) and only a five minute cab ride away.

The multi-lingual hotel front desk offers a full concierge service and is able to help out on all manner of things, whether it is business services you require, a car to hire (valet parking is provided), a private chauffeur booking (again, a service that I can highly recommend), or simply a shopping recommendation or a cab calling.

I understand when designing the hotel (it is a remodelling of an existing building) the vision was to create a high-end product that could be described as “a funky beach boutique hotel with a laidback feel more akin to the cool Californian pool scene of San Diego or LA”. Through their use of innovative high-end contemporary design and decor I would say the owners had gone a long way to achieving that goal – however, it is the addition of the hotel’s staff which makes this hotel unique. From top to bottom the staff at the Bohemia are friendly, knowledgeable and of the highest quality. Both individually and collectively they are truly from the heart the perfect hosts. (On a personal note, thank you – it was a genuine pleasure to meet you all.)

So in summary, the Bohemia Suites & Spa gives: modern but timeless, effortless, casual luxury for people who love stylish and comfortable; a total oasis of service excellence and contemporary chic. Perfect!! (and I’ll be back again soon!)

The resort is well past its sell by date but as you arrive at the Bohemia you can breath a sigh of relief and do as we did and cocoon yourselves away for the duration of your stay.

The Hotel has only been open a year and has been refurbished to such a high standard, pools and hot tubs are amazing, (they have a problem with the main pool liner but they are aware)

Staff could not try harder and were very attentive at all times, My Girlfirend is vegetarian and this did prove a little difficult for the Chef's to cater for but they got there in the end, Food is excellent and breakfast fantastic with anything and everything on offer.

Views from 360 Restaurant are great

We upgraded to a suite which has a massive balcony with a day bed.

All rooms air-conditioned.

Definitely will stay again.

We stayed at The Bohemia for a week and from our first to very last interaction with staff across the hotel - they made our holiday!
The Bohemia is a boutique hotel and the bedroom we had was excellent in terms of design, furniture and functionality. The balcony had 2 chairs, a table and a bed. This was great and ensured we used the balcony to the max!
We had breakfast each morning in a circular glass restaurant on the 8th floor - again staff is very well trained, professional & friendly.
The pool area was excellent and a lovely place to spend a day. Overall, an excellent hotel with great staff and we will return again soon!

This hotel is a real jewel on this wonderful island of sun. It is very friendly, extremely correct but easy going. The installations are really cool. beautiful colours and strict attention to detail.
The food is delicious, locally sourced and home made. The restaurant is a spectacular construction with incredible views over the whole of Maspalomas, day and night, it invites to awe. The cocktails are international standard, like the rest of the hotel. I surely recommend a stay here. I for one will be coming back, no doubt.
Special thanks to Judith in the reception, the hotel director and Aurelio in the restaurant for making us feel at home and very well attended.

Room Tip: we were in the Junior Suit on the 7th floor and it was spectacular.

We stayed there in a Suite between 17th and 31st of August 2013 and everything was just perfect, the room with sea view was amazing and huge, all the equipments (MacMini, TV, Home Cinema, Illy coffee machine...) were great.
All the staff is really helpful and available at anytime, each of them speaks several languages and they are always smiling, we had a great experience in Gran Canaria thanks to them too.
The hotel location in Playa del Ingles is very central and 10 minutes away from all the restaurants and the beach.
The hotel equipment (Spa, Wellness center, Fitness center, pools and jacuzzi) are all very clean and easy to use.
We actually hope every hotel we would go to would be like this one.
