This was our second stay at the Eugenia and it is fair to say that this hotel is everything that it says on the tin. The food is as good as you will get for a hotel rated 3 star, the couple of times we have stayed at this hotel we have found the staff to be hospitable and friendly in every way.
I must also mention a few things that I do not like at the Eugenia which we did not get on our first visit , The sauna area in the wellness centre is being used more and more by nudists, there is an area on the roof for this, and it should be kept separate, it is not right for a young teenager to walk into a room full of mainly old naked men. Secondly I have just gone onto the internet to book another 10 days this winter at the Eugenia but the prices which were acceptable as they were have gone through the roof, and I am afraid we have just had our last holiday at the Eugenia. It is a shame really because it was good value for money, but like most good things greed as spoilt the Eugenia for us.

We arrived back on 21st of june after spending 2 weeks all inclusive. I cannot fault the food there was always plenty of choices even for the most fussiest of eaters, snacks at the pool bar were made fresh when you ordered and at the terrace bar you could order from a menu for free if you were all inclusive. I dont drink but most of them were branded, lager and soft drinks were self service at the terrace bar. The room we stayed in had been recently decorated and was nice, large and very clean with the maids cleaning and changing towels every day. The wellness centre was fab, warm pools with jacuzzi beds, dead sea pool , sauna, steam and ice rooms, guests could use this every day, to save on luggage allowance you can hire towels to use in wellness and to sunbathe for 1euro and deposit of 9 euro. The only thing that isnt good at this hotel is the entertainment, which is very poor but didnt affect our holiday as we sat at terrace bar with live music and a drink at night. The yumbo centre is a 5-10 min walk away and the beach is 15 min walk away but there is a free bus that leaves from reception numerous times a day. There are not many english people at this hotel and mostly dutch and german guests with a couple of rude people but you can have rude people from any nationality. We had a great holiday and would reccomend this hotel to anyone, if you have any questions please dont hesitate to contact me.

Room Tip: We had room 201 which was right next to lift, if you are at end of hotel you have a long walk to roo...

We stayed here in february half term for a week, the first room we where given was a ground floor room which i didn`t really want,so i asked if i could have a room on a higher floor which they abliged with no problems. The room was very dated with wicker furniture and accesories,i.e fridge, radio, and hairdryer the rooms are in need of refurbishment which apparently is underway with some of the other rooms. The room didnt bother us that much as we only slept there and had an early evening drink on the balcony.
The restaurant we found to be chaotic to say the least with people everywhere and at peak times, no tables easy to find.We decided to either go later as 9.50 am for breakfast when the mayhem had subsided or early evening for dinner. The food selection and drink i found to be very good for an all inclusive. Most of the staff where very attentive and friendly but as in every hotel you get the odd one or two who dont` really care. The staff around the food area outside where very nice and attentive. The weather was really good for February we sunbathed every day, but could be a little cooler in the evening.
The main clientel in the hotel seemed to be Dutch but that doesn`t hold a problem for us as we like to meet people of different nationalities any where we go .
I have been going to las palmas since the 80s and i have to say its getting a little tired and dated in places and we have tended to travel out to meloneras more often for evenings which is far more up to date with good restaurants and atmosphere and just a few euros taxi ride away.
Would i stay at the Eugenia again ? "yes" but only for a week at a good price.
The spa looked really nice but we never used it due to a rather surly attendant, but i did use the gym which is of a very good standard.

Room Tip: even number rooms get late evening sun

I stayed in this hotel for a week All Inclusive with my boyfriend. We are 25 and 28 and felt the hotel was mainly for older people and there was alot of German/Dutch which was not an issue, we didn't come across anyone that was particularly rude as previously mentioned. It is a big hotel and took a while to find out exactly were everything was and how the All Inclusive worked. It is a fair distance from the beach but there is a free bus from the hotel which we used once and the walk to the Yumbo centre is about 15-20minutes but there is a number of bars just outside the hotel rather than going to the yumbo centre. Taxi's are also very cheap

The food was of very good standard and always something you could choose from, plenty of tables to go around. Not really table service, more help yourself and you have to go up to get your own drinks, which might be expected for a large hotel like this.

The rooms were nice but no air-con only a fan but i still managed to sleep well every night, no kids running about or people making noise. There seemed to be only one lift access point to get to your room and we had a really long corridor to walk, which was a pain at times. The maids cleaned your room every day if needed

The Lunch at the terrace bar was excellent, i think it was on between 12.30 and 3pm and the steak on the stone was amazing. Sometimes staff were not very smiley or seemed quite rude but others were fine and sometimes there was a language barrier. We just tended to point to what we wanted most times

The entertainment was really poor especially for our age, would have been good to see it cater for a wide range of ages. Seen a few shows but never really wanted to sit in the hotel at night so went to a few bars around the hotel

The wellness centre was one of the best features of the hotel. it had a steam, sauna and ice room. Deep sea pool and 2 other pools, it was very relaxing and good to come down there for a while after sitting in the sun.

The free wi-fi service was not the best only worked certain areas in the hotel but again it was good to use it when you could and there was also free internet but the pc's were quite slow

Overall the hotel was very good just a few minor issues but nothing that we had to complain about
