Looking forward to our return this summer (July 2007). In total have been here about 5 times and just love everything about it. Last there in July 05 and learned from staff that it was due to close for 12 months from 1/5/06 for a big refurbishment, opening 1/5/07. Booked in May 06, the minute the 07 brochures came out. Within weeks it had been withdrawn from all tour operators although Direct Holiday have assured us that they will stand over the booking - we hope...... probably taken off until such times as it actually opens.

Anyway - excellent location - in Playa Del Ingles but in a lovely quiet spot, although if you wanted, you need never leave the complex..... Great clean apartments, great food, entertainment fantastic if you've got kids although entertaining for the adults also. Lots going on throughout the day for everyone and a great show/kids disco/bingo etc every night. Some nights we fancied a change and went into the centre but had to be back in time for the enertainment cause the kids loved it so much. The reps were great - really friendly and great with the kids.

Roll on July - we can't wait to return...

me my partner and two friends stayed here,i know it was a while ago but i have only just stummbled on this site so i thought i would give our review,


excellent place to holiday,very clean,deecnt sized appartments,free bus to the beach.


when you arrive you are greeted by a large lobby area which tells you all the information you need to know,where you will find the reps.
the apartment was very clean,this was done daily clean towels sheets ect.we had a balcony which was large it had 2 sunbeds and table and charis lovely size.
then you donwstairs,latasca their own resturaunt lovley food very friendly service.
the only down side was because it is a family place aswell as couples,after midnight you may be told off for making noise! even though the happy hour started at midnight in their bar! :) but that made no difference still had a fab time,we would definatley go again without hessitation

We stayed 2 weeks self catering. The place was very clean and tidy. Apartment was well equipped. Our block was seperate to the main complex and was even patrolled by security giving us total reassurance. Pool was clean and had life guards at all times. There was a free shuttle bus down to the beach everyday. Got to admit the entertainment put on by our reps was first class. Best holiday ever had

Just back from my second visit to Sunwing and it's still the cleanest place I've ever stayed.
This year we had a ground floor appartment and on the second night someone tried to break in at 05.15,I awoke to see a hand in the window trying to remove the chain. My husband went for security who were there in a couple of minutes but of course the intruder had fled.It was obvious from the marks on the door and window that this appartment had been broken into several times,thank goodness we always use the safety deposit box.
The staff at Sunwing were extremely helpful and offered us a room on the top floor a couple of hours later which we of course excepted.This was fabulous with views all over Maspalomas,the dunes and right down to the sea.
We won't let this incident spoil our holidays as it could happen anywhere.
Sunwing is in a great posistion as it gives you easy access to Playa and Maspalomas, both are only a stroll away and once you know your way around you can get to all the shopping/entertainment centers in about 20 mins on foot.
The complex itself is great,the pool is very well maintained and there is always somewhere to put your towel. We ate at La Tasca a couple of times and found the food and the staff very good.The evening entertainment was good for kids{I don't have small children but found myself singing the fast food song all week}and the adult shows just as good.
All in all we enjoyed our holiday and would go back to Sunwing. The reps told us It's being closed in April next year for refirbishment so hopefully it will be more secure but I doubt if it could possibly be any cleaner.Big thanks to all the staff especially Marisol our cleaning lady who was excellent.
