5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 3, 2012

HI friends,Just got back from 8days in Gran Canaria ,thought i would go back and have a meal at the Red Cow restaurant at Player De La Inglas, as last time the food was something else ,well this time it was even better, if you go then try the steake or the sea food platter you will not be dissapointed, it was so good i eate their every day ,and the drinks are cheap, and at 9 pm its 1euro per pint.am going over at xmas and have booked a table so as am sure to get in as i know they are already getting bookings, Please dont miss out its a great place ,and the staff do not smoke as once was reported ,

“very good and friendly service from aivar and co.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 30, 2012 via mobile

Very welcoming staff day or nite always willing to help above the call of duty. Some places in the UK would benefit from a master class at the Red Cow involving customers service quality and value for money.

well done for offering fab food with fab service in a fab atmosphere.

the guy who wears the hat from the welsh guards who works there he is very nice an a great salesman to the Red Cow.

Dawn n Rhys-James (Cheshire) visited throughout week ending 29th October.
Xx

“Very disappointing.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 25, 2012

My friend and I chose to eat here after reading previous reviews. Was bitterly disappointed. We got seated quickly and menus given. We then waited about a further 10 minutes to order drinks. It was then about another 20 minutes to order food. The waitress said they were busy but looking around only 1 other table was eating (a single man) everyone else was finished.
The food was certainly nothing to rave about, garlic bread starter tasty enough, I had steak as main, ordered medium rare was certainly not cooked this way, way over cooked. My friend ordered the espania chicken, described on menu as chicken stuffed with spinach and goats cheese wrapped in bacon. It came as chicken wrapped in bacon with the tiniest bit of goats cheese I have ever seen, the spinach part was actually a sauce. Perhaps The Red Cow need to think of menu wording. Bitterly disappointed with the food and service and needless to say we never went back. Much nicer restaurants in Yumbo.

sorry you were disappointed. what a lot of people do not realise is that we are a two storey restaurant so we can be very busy when the upstairs part looks relatively empty. I am not issuing this as an excuse, I apologise for your less than satisfying visit. In the Espana, the spinach is inside the meal and the sauce is a herby drizzle. The herbs are green which may be why you thought it was spinach ! I have passed your comments on to the floor managers

“Nice English food”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2012

Pretty cheap, and nice food. Not high quality but okay. Nice pub atmosphere with x-factor running on the TV. The lamb chops could probably have done with 15 minutes less on the frying pan

hi thank you for your review. We have taken your comments on board and now ask people how they would like their lamb chops cooked. The majority ask for them crispy but obviously that's not to everyones liking so, to ensure we get it right, we will ask about lamb chops, just as we do steaks. appreciated

“The best in the area!!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 23, 2012 via mobile

We visited The Red Cow 3 times in our 1 week stay, the food was amazing, british owners with staff that spoke fluent english. We were on holiday while the euros were starting, and they showed every england game on 32" tvs around the place, great atmosphere and always walked out happy and with a full belly :-D No wonder they are #1, congrats
