“Relaxing holiday”

Holiday for adults, spa facilities, two pools, Music every night, good restaurant and bar. So we are returning for the fourth time. An easy walk down to Maspalomas, as we do every time, around the desert to the other end and back up to the hotel. Keeps us over 64 in good shape. We recommend it!

Room Tip: Ground floor main building has a walk out to the pool and green lawn. We prefer view to the garden a...

This hotel is clean, spacious and has everything you could possibly want if you want to relax by the pool, eat and enjoy the weather. We are a young couple (26 & 23) and enjoyed our time at Sunprime very much. The staff were always very polite and very helpful. The facilities were good and the local tourist part of the island is only a 15-20 min walk away as is the beach. This was not a problem for us as we like to dip in and out of the hustle and bustle. the activities and entertainment consisted of water aerobics and live music which was great for the first couple of days but got a little tedious.
The food was typical for that of an all inclusive hotel, repetitive but edible. Drinks and cocktails and great. Try the strawberry daiquiri!!
Our bed room was large and consisted of a pool facing balcony, small kitchen (even if you are all inclusive), sofa and two single beds. Looking at the fire plan in our bedroom all rooms seemed to have the same layout as ours. Tip for the girls hair driers are in the room too.
There are 3 large pools and copious amounts of sun Loungers. If you want a particular spot I would recommend popping your towels out before breakfast but if you don't particularly mind and don't get to the pool until late morning there will still be plenty of them to choose from.
Gran Canaria as a place is nothing special. It is a typical rocky island which has the weather guaranteed. Visit the market in the northern part of Maspalomas and definitely visit the sand dunes they are incredible. I did hear that there is a nudist beach there too if your into that!!
I would definitely recommend this hotel if you don't expect 5* cuisine and entertainment. But if you want to relax, enjoy the weather and go for a stroll in the evening this is the place to go. Most enjoyable thing..... No children!!

I've just returned from a week's all inclusive stay the the Sunprime Atlantic View, and would thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a classy, peaceful holiday experience.

As it's an adult only hotel, the Sunprime is quiet and peaceful. This is made even clearer by the lack of music around the pool, which whilst some people missed, I personally liked! The food and drinks available on the AI option are excellent - we couldn't fault a single meal we ate there, and liked the ability to get our own drinks during the day. I felt rather sorry for the people who were there self catering, as in comparison it seemed like such a good thing to be on the AI option.

Yes, as others have already said - the evening entertainment isn't amazing, but it isn't that terrible. It's background music to what is otherwise a very pleasant setting.

Our room was really nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, although the building itself is showing some signs of age. I wasn't overly keen on the fact our room had an adjoining door to the next one, which whilst firmly locked for the whole stay, offered no protection from the sound our neighbours made (and presumably vice-versa!). I don't know if that's a feature all of the rooms have though, ours may have been in the minority.

If you're the kind of holiday maker who needs constant entertainment and music playing, this isn't going to be the hotel for you. If you prefer things a little more sedate, then definitely go!

Room Tip: Room 437 has amazing views, but a very thin interconnecting door to number 436.

We stayed here for one week and I have to say that there really isn't a lot to fault about Sunprime. We had an apartment which was spacious and clean and had all the amenities you would need, the bathroom was a tad tired but apart from that very modern. All apartments face out to the sea and pools, we were on the 3rd floor and had a great view. There are 3 pools and plenty of sunbeds to choose from. We were all inclusive and my first thought was there wasn't much choice (compared to AI's in Turkey, Greece etc.), however I am a fussy eater and there was something for me to enjoy at every meal time. There are also soft drinks, wine and beer in the restaurant. The market has baguettes and sandwiches for guests and you can also get soft drinks, beer, water and local alcoholic spirits too. The market also sells other groceries, toiletries etc, however, there is a Spar shop two minutes from the hotel which is a lot cheaper. The hotel and pools were absolutely spotless and all the staff are so friendly and helpful (special shout to the two Pepes and Jose Juan in the market). The cocktail bar had a variety to choose from and you needn't need many to feel a little squiffy!! The Yumbo Centre is about a 15 minute walk away and worth a trip round. Maspalomas Shopping Centre is lovely and is 4 euros 50 cent in a taxi. The one thing I found a bit strange was that there was no music playing in the restaurant which made it feel a bit like a canteen. I like music at the pool too and I think that at least one of the 3 pools could have had music playing to create a bit of atmosphere. All in all a brilliant holiday and would have no hesitations in returning.

Six of our family stayed here for two weeks. Can't fault anything. I suppose if I had to be picky I would say a little bit out of the way. A special mention to the staff who can't do enough for you. The cocktails are amazing and such a good free choice on all inclusive . Reception staff really helpfull with anything you ask . Food varied and really good theme nights. Especially the Chinese and Mexican nights ..even put on a free bus to the beach..

We arrived at the hotel around 7pm, greeted by a helpful member of staff speaking good English. We came away here on honeymoon and he greeted us by congratulating us and giving us a voucher for 2 free 25 min spa treatments, we both chose a back neck and shoulder massage which was amazing! We were room 215, all room overlook the pools rather than the front of the hotel. We had a bottle of cava in the fridge as we were on honeymoon.
The rep was extremely helpful during the welcome meeting- and always there for any other questions we had.
The food at the hotel was great, always something a little different, but always chips and salad on offer which was great. Staff in the restaurant were brilliant, very attentive and polite. We ate at the restaurant every night, apart from one.

We did a fair few excursions, visiting the MHT drag show which is a huge recommendation, we laughed from start to finish!! It was €49 each but within that you had a show, 3 course meal and free beer and wine throughout the meal. Although we were led to believe drinks were unlimited all night- this was not the case. But a fantastic night out!!
We went on the Canarian Combo which includes a camel ride, off road tracking and a dolphin cruise. The camel ride and off road tracking were great, but the dolphin cruise we only managed to see one whale which was disappointing.

The water park and moonlight cinema were fabulous!! Would visit again!! Cinema is a little pricey, but your on holiday at the end of the day!!

Loads to do around playa del ingles and taxis are so cheap, we didn't use any bus services as there were always about 2-3 taxis in the rank outside the hotel and they provided great service.

I would definitely visit sunprime again!

Really nice hotel and clean. The food and drink are of a high standard. the staff are very helpful and polite. Choice of 3 pools one to relax one beach and one for play. Plenty of sunbeds. No dress code for meals, Room spacious but our a/c poor 1 bedded room. Pool towels included, free bus service to and from the beach throughout the day. Evening entertainment poor (Eagles , Neil Sedaka , etc Sung by resident artist )but only 15 mins walk to night life. Taxis inexpensive 5 Euros to Masspalomas, No pool bar but the prime market was where you got your all inclusive drinks and food through the day.
