“Good value for off-season sunshine break”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 21, 2013

We booked two 2-bed apartments between 9 for a week at a very good price. Given the cheapness, and then having read some reviews on here, I was a bit dubious about what to expect, and even packed my own spare sheet and pillowcase. Actually the place was very good - the standard of cleanliness was perfectly acceptable, I wouldn't quite say spotless but pretty good. Rooms are good and spacious, decor beginning to look a little tired but so what? I imagine if you've paid a premium price you will be a bit more picky. The double bed was massive and pretty comfy. The pool isn't heated so I didn't use it - instead relaxed in the private jacuzzi on the balcony overlooking the sea. Ample kitchen facilities if you want to self-cater (we chose to eat out apart from breakfast). The fridge isn't very efficient and stuff goes off, so if you are self-catering, best to shop little and often (there's a supermarket on the ground floor). Pleased we went room only - we ate in the buffet restaurant the first night for 18 euro a head as we'd arrived late and couldn't be bothered going out - the food was AWFUL and a total rip-off. That's the only thing bad about the hotel though. Reception staff generally very helpful and friendly, as was the barman. Resort is right on the edge of Bahia Feliz so you have lots of built-up area to the east, but just coastline to the west. Lovely to just be able to stroll down to the beach in a few minutes. Plenty of parking if you have a hire car, but we didn't bother as there's a bus stop nearby and its easy to get to Maspalomas, Las Palmas etc.

I see that there are some really whiney reviews here, read them before we had our stay at the hotel, from 27.12.12 - 05.01.13, but got pleasantly suprised. The pool is cold, but so what? The kids preffered the beach, and the playground area was perfect. Big outdoor space with wellkept lawns, pooltable inside and outside, a superb restaurant with the most friendly staff ever.... I ended up with only plus, the location we got, on the ground floor was also perfect, as you don`t have to worry about kids playing on the veranda, high up. We got a massive apartment, must have been 90 square meters, bigger than we had ordered. And to the cleanliness on the refrigerator, we found the stains, but couldn`t help but laughuing, cause the stains will never manage to creep in to the food or drink we preserve in it. Stains on matrasses? What on earth do you excpect? Shall they buy new matrasses after each stay? There is a sheet over, don`t stress yourself up over what`s underneath. This hotel is perfect, perfect not for those who get freaked out if there is a tiny element they aren`t pleased over.

A very friendly staff made all we needed to make our family holiday pleasant. Location is perfect for restful stay and there is spacious walkways and roads to drive with your own car or take a walk. You can have descent food in hotels own restaurant but there is good options in nearby also, We loved Chinese buffet in Maspalomas and driving there was peace of cake after couple day learning. Apartments are spacious two bedrooms with own bath and pool in big balcony! Kitchen is great if you prefer your own cooking without standard oven, but you got a microwave. There's also gym with sauna and tub, but for finns who enjoy strong hot steam in sauna, it's prohibited to throw on water to get real sweat :) Views around the hotel are beautiful and well maintained buildings are telling us story of wealthy area and pilots love private airfield just next to eastside beach from hotel, there you can have sightseeing flights and parachuting and also cheap flight lessons with an instructor. Good price -quality rate indeed.

When we arrived hotel in late evening tired and exhausted we got our room fast and easy and... there was a noisy bug somewhere behind the cupboard in the kitchen and we couldn't sleep at all after it started his serenade. But hotel staff did all they could and gave us place to sleep in next to our apartment and a very next day they found an new audience for this singer! I think this is the point where we must say "they did the best they could for us" -appreciated!

Standard hotel/apartments. We travelled with 2 children old and 4 month old. For family's travelling with children there is a pool area with children's pool, however, not heated so far to cold to go in this time of year. Play area and sand pit for children but the flooring is in need of an upgrade as has a few cracks which makes is easy for smaller children to trip over... Sand pit, but with no sand hardly, and all the toys in the pit are broken. Restaurant haven't eaten in and bar haven't been in either as it is so dead and we have hired a car to venture out. There are bars and restaurants 5 min walk away which is lovely at night. All in all average hotel/apartments... But wouldn't stay here If your looking for a beach holiday... Would go to meloneras, we drove there and it is lovely.

Blue Bay is the ideal location for anyone wanting choices. It is a self catering complex, although you can eat in the restaurant, which is perfectly adequate.
There are many wonderful restaurants within easy walking distance, and there's Garbo's, which is an absolute must for an evenings entertainment !

Room Tip: If your apartment is missing anything, just ask ! The stafff are most obliging. For example, we h...
