“Good value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 3, 2014

Stayed in this hotel with my husband and 2 teenage children at end of June 2014 . We all had a lovely time . We had 2 family rooms which were very spacious . I was a bit worried about the lack of air conditioning but didnt find it a problem , rooms were cool enough at night. We all enjoyed the food , although was a bit repetetive . The negative side was having to pay for bottles of water and also fresh orange juice ! . There were other fruit juices though . If going out for the day you can order picnics the night before . They are just sandwiches , fruit and bottles of water but still worth ordering . We went out some days and would highly recommend some places . We hired a car and went to Amadores beach , absolutely gorgeous and worth visiting . We also went to the moonlight cinema in Melonaras which is a wonderful experience. We went to peurto de mogan on the Friday which is market day , thoroughly enjoyed that . If you get the chance walk down to the watersports centre at San Augustin beach , great holiday atmosphere down there .

we travelled to this hotel on the 16th of june 2014 with our family we arrived here at about 11 pm checked in pretty fast giving no information about the hotel just a booklet and a piece of paper to be able to get a late snack with just arriving ,some salad and a drink, then went to find our room it was on the second floor but overlooking the road and three bins which the smell would be terrible in the heat through the day so we went to reception to ask if we could change rooms they told us to go back first thing in the morning , so we went to bed only to be woken by the bin men at 4 30 in the morning.we went to reception at about 8am and asked for the room to be changed to be told to go back at 10 then at 10 we were told to go back at 2 when we eventually got the room changed and it was fine clean and spacious unable to fault it fridge in the walk in wardrobe ,we went to the welcome meeting that started about 10.15 was told would only last 15 minutes true to her word it did as we were told nothing about the hotel just the selling of trips and told not to ask anything about any details of going home as we had just arrived and we would find out 24 hours before leaving, only never to see the rep again until the day before we had to go and hunt her downto find out leaving details when we said we didn't know where to find her ,her reply in a rude manner was if you were at the welcome meeting you would know well infact I was there and it was never metioned none of the other very few English guest knew either ,the food was average but make sure you check it as the chicken is sometimes not cooked properly and still pinky in the middle ,the drinks are great always chilled ,the taxi fare down to playa de ingles is very cheap and worth it fantastic down there, we also went for a meal at the Italians down there overlooking the beach very cheap but lovely food wouldn't ever return to this hotel but maybe through time try and book into a hotel in player de ingles,

Me and my partner travelled here at the beginning of June, as we both have hectic schedules we were ecstatic to have some time off together and relax! We arrived on the monday and all seemed well, the food was nice, the hotel looked clean and the rooms were spacious! but all started to go wrong after that! The first big stickler was being told that we needed to go to bed at 11pm, the reason being this...they wanted our chairs so they could go home! Now im not unreasonable so we left the area, returned to our balcony and carried on playing cards and finishing our drinks (we even had the light off to respect those around us). Apparently this is not acceptable either as we soon received a phone call to tell us that we needed to go to bed now, shortly followed by a security guard standing across from the balcony speaking in Spanish to my partner who was then sat by himself with his headphones on. His english wasn't the greatest but he made his point known that sitting with headphones on was too noisy! We complained the next day but nothing was done apart from the offer of a room change to one that was further away from all of the amenities. Back to the food, like I said it was lovely grub, except from them labelling meat as one kind when it was really another and constantly cutting my finger and lips on the chipped crockery and glasses and having the same or similar food every day. The lunch time restaurant wasn't too bad, well when you could get a seat that wasnt taken over by pigeons demolishing food that had been left on tables. One word of warning if you do go here, dont eat the late brekfast at the pool bar, countless times we saw pigeons eating croissants, after we complained about this they covered the food...with a napkin, which believe it or not the pigeons were clever enough to move! The rooms were nice but there is no air con, even if you upgraded. You could rent one for a fee, but why stop there...microwave, fridge, a bottle warmer, towels, even bottled water...all available AT A FEE! if you think an all inclusive hotel means that you wont have to pay for much then think again where this hotels concerned. The overall cleanliness of the hotel wasnt too bad, we only saw 2 mice scurrying around and 1 dead Cock roach, I understand that these things happen but you still expect staff to come and help you when a mouse is running around your bedroom! And if that wasn't bad enough our bedding wasnt changed for the whole week we were there, god only knows if they bothered to change it before we arrived! There are two large pools and a childrens pool which are all clean and nice, the larger one has 3 slides as well which is a bonus for kids. The only down side is there are no parasols by the pool, or anywhere for that matter, unless you a) buy one! B) steal the lifeguards or c) burn! So after all that palaver the only solice we had was the alcohol, which over the period of a week got weaker and changed taste almost every day! With the exception of the alcohol purchased at the shops! We ended up eating and drinking away from the hotel which was amazing. Definatly worth going to maspalomas and playa de ingles! Needless to say I will not be returning to this hotel! And probably never to the island either!

Dear Guest,

Thank you for choosing the IFA Interclub Atlantic Hotel to spend your holiday on Gran Canaria.

We really regret to hear your holiday was not up to your expectations and we really apologize for the inconveniences caused.

First of all, please let us inform you we received another guest's complaint due to the noise coming from your balcony. Obviously it was late in the night and their children were sleeping, so our Reception staff just phoned you to ask if you could please lower a bit your voices.

On the other hand, we are aware of the problem we have with the pigeons in the Snack Bar and we are already working in order to find an efficient solution to ease the problem.

Regarding the bedding, please let us inform you the sheets are changed once a week. Nonetheless, if the guests need more changes we also do it for them, as well as when we see these are dirty.

Last but not least, we regret to hear you suffered cuts due to some broken glasses in the restaurant. These are always checked by our staff but we will notify this incident to the Maìtre for him to take a close look into this matter.

We hope we can welcome you again in a further occasion.

Kind regards,
IFA Interclub Atlantic Hotel

I stayed in the IFA Interclub Atlantic for a week at the end of June. I went with my grandma, auntie and cousin, we booked two family rooms which were very spacious and clean with everything you need in them however the only downfall was we requested them be together but they were on different floors, however not a problem. We needed a family hotel with gold entertainment and that is exactly what we got. Also there is no air conditioning in the rooms which was a bit of a problem for my grandmother as it was too hot for her especially as we had a pool view so the sun was on it most if the dayA

The three pools make a very large area for sunbeds and you don't get bored as there is things to do all day. The animation team were fantastic, the mini club was great for my cousin who is 5, he enjoyed it and wanted to go back every day!

The shows that the animation team put on some of the nights are very enjoyable and you can tell a lot of effort is put in to them. Two of the team members made my family and a family we became friends with feel welcome and at home - these being Patrik and Florian who came and spoke to us in the evenings and were very nice to us.

Being all Inclusive the food and drink was good. Drinks at the pool to help yourselves to at all times. Also a bar at the top near the pools where there is good and drinks being served all say to help yourself to. The restaurant was the same. The only fault being the food is rather repetitive but a good range even for a fussy eater like myself.

Overall we had a fantastic stay and would put it down mainly to the animation team! Will definitely be returning again.

Just got back from a week at IFA Interclub. Overall, for the money we paid it wasn't bad at all. Check in was fine and was given a voucher for a meal after we had checked in. Gave it to the woman in the restaurant who showed us where things were, then once I had a plate of food, another waitress appeared and started going mad at me, taking my plate off me and shouting in Spanish. Had to try and explain to her we had checked in late and had a voucher for a meal. Eventually she allowed me to have my plate of food back. We had a family room over looking the pool which was nice as we requested this before we went. The rooms desperately need air con or a fan. Also in desperate need of a fridge, as all the bottled water we had brought from the shop down the road kept going stupidly hot. PLEASE get fridges and fans in all rooms. Another issue with the room is the TV. Not saying you go on holiday to watch the TV, but we like to have it on as were getting ready. But there are very limited channels and the TV is something like out of the 60's. Big spacious room though and nice bathroom. Cleaner came in daily and replaced towels and cleaned which was nice. Pools were of nice size and cleaned daily. Lots of sunbeds everywhere so no issues with that. Good water slides and Lifeguards about at all times during the pool opening times. Entertainment team tried their best to keep people entertained and did a few activities during the day. Drinks available at the pool bar from 10:30am but some of the time there were no cups or the gas had run out in the fizzy drinks. Nice to see Amstel on tap as part of the all inclusive. Help yourself to a beer was good. I read food was a bit repetitive, which I can understand but we didn't have an issue with it. Always plenty and always hot. Enjoyed the late night snacks served until 11 such as hot dogs and pizza. We rented a car and managed to find a car parking space outside reception a couple of times but they are nearly always full, which means you have to pay 5 euro and park round the side of the hotel. Enjoyed our weeks stay but probably wouldn't return.

Just got back from a week at IFA Interclub and had a fantastic holiday. Stayed with a friend both aged 20-25 and couldn't ask for more.
Very fast check in which was good as we arrived very late at night and were given a voucher which allowed us to go and get an evening meal.
We had a family room which was near the main reception and couldn't fault it. The room was clean and very specious for the two of us and the maid came daily which was a bonus. Although I must mention if you do get a ground floor family room do NOT leave your towels out overnight. We did this and they got soaked from the water sprinklers. We found this quite funny but I imagine most people wouldn't!
Entertainment team were fantastic especially aqua gym in the daytime! All worked really hard and ensured everyone was having a good time.
Yes the food was very repetitive, but we just varied what we ate per night so we weren't eating the same thing and all the food was really enjoyable. You pay for a 3 star so expect 3 star food. Don't expect the 5 star for the same price!!!! Drinks were fine just watch them put the alcohol in as they are very very strong drinks!
The pool and the grounds were fantastic and couldn't fault these. Lifeguards were always attentive.
One downside is the location. You are on a hill and it's a fair walk to the town and all uphill on the way back so we didn't bother leaving the resort however the hotel does offer a shuttle bus to the beach for 1euro which is really good.
Excursions - we did the 4x4 adventure and would strongly recommend to anyone!! Suitable for all ages and it even comes with a camel ride!!! If you do this then do not wear black or white, you will get covered in dust. But this is an excursion not to miss so do check it out!!
Aqualand - great day out for all ages just make sure to wear flip flops as the floor is very very hot but great value for money and only 8euros from hotel in taxi. Well worth a visit !

We really enjoyed our stay at IFA Interclub and will most likely return! Fantastic!

Room Tip: Family rooms for two people are a must! Very spacious!
