stayed for 1 week half board.Very clean and spacious room.Half board option excellent so much choice.Clean restaurant.Staff friendly.used the spa only once €20 for the get in shape pool 29 stations (2 hours)was brilliant very rejuvenating. There was also a nice entertainment programme.Free bus to playa inlges/maspalomas great for days out.Great value as we have paid more for bed and breakfast in the canaries for a 5* and certainly got less!!.Staff very friendly.Thumbs up all around!!!!!!!!San Augustin is laid back has lovely Burras beach and a shopping centre all within walking distance. And for those lazy lunch hours a great greek taverna.

Room Tip: 814 3rd floor lovely view near the lift.

Just had 7 days of chilled bliss. This hotel was not out to disappoint only keep us as a customer top priority. Spotlessly clean & well maintained we were very pleased with the facilities and our room was massive, the view from the sixth floor of the sea was breath taking. The food wow so much chose even for me being veggie, they just encourage you to try new tastes with all they offer.
I really should be saying its awful so you don't go, that way we can keep it as a secret place to go.
It is slightly out of town on a hill, but there is free buses daily & taxis or cheap.

We stayed at the gloria palace, amadores, before but it was fully boooked so we dcided to book the one in san agustin instead. It was overall a very good experience. The room was a bit dated - blue walls and old television set - but it was a spacious room with a lovely see view. Be warned that there is only 1 english channel on the TV - sky news. The staff were all excellent and went out of their way to make the stay at the hotel an enjoyable experience. The food was good but could be a bit more varied - mostly pork and fish. There was one evening that was a traditional spanish evening which was excellent! San Agustin itself is a quiet village, which is what we wanted. Playas des ingles is within walking distance, approximately 30 minutes lovely walk along the seafront. The evening entertainment was really good.

Visted this beautiful hotel for 1 week 15/09/12 after booking last minute having searched for weeks for a good value week away.
The hotel is spotless and decor is nice. Our room was a lot larger than we expected with a sofa and balcony with an amazing sea view. The food was also better than our expectations, so much choice every night including fresh meat fish and salads. The staff were brilliant and always happy to help.
There were always sunbeds available by the pools and there is a lovely terrace with a sea view which catches the sun all day and not too far form the pool bar :) The pools are sea water and again its very clean.
Our favorite part of the hotel was the rooftop terrace, the view is amazing. We are mid twenties so not really into the evening entertainment downstairs so really enjoyed having a drink on the roof. It isn't included in all inclusive but the drinks are at a 50% discount, which is well worth it! (theres a small pool up there with Moroccan style tents will small bed loungers). There is also a a la carte restaurant on the 9th floor, it looks lovely but we were more than happy with the included food.
We walked to Maspalomas along the beach which is a long scenic walk and a lovely place, then a taxi back was only 7 euros or there are buses from the hotel daily.
Overall we had a fantastic time, a lot better than other all inclusive holidays we have been on before and get value. Would recommend to all ages couples and families for a relaxed holiday :)

I went on holiday with my mother, aunt and sister and we stayed at this hotel for 10 days. The hotel is nice but there is no wow factor here. We stayed in two bedroomed, one bathroom accommodation - this located in the buildings that have the sun beds on their roof. The rooms were nice but again nothing special; the beds are extremely hard, however we asked for and were given toppers for all the beds, these are essential.
All the staff in the hotel were extremely nice and pleasant - the staff are the biggest asset this hotel has, they all appear to be happy in their work and always make time to say hello.
The food selection in the hotel isn't great at all, very basic all inclusive selection, as other people have said you will find something to eat and won't go hunger but I would say I ate the same thing almost every day. I was disappointed that there wasn't any paella, though if you like stir fry you will be delighted.
I thought the All Inclusive wine was very good for AI, so that was a plus. Branded drinks could be bought for half price. A minor problem I would have is that you have to give your room card every time you order a drink, room number and AI band on wrist will not suffice, if the person minding the card wasn't in the immediate vicinity then no drink can be had - this is just a very minor gripe though.
The evening entertainment was very good and all involved worked very hard to keep every one entertained - it wasn't the type of thing I love, but it would appeal to most people and the kids really seemed to enjoy it. The Lionel Richie act was particularly good.
We also paid a trip to the spa about 20 euro each, again it was nice but the sauna, steam rooms etc were extra which is unusual and disappointing - we enjoyed it though.
The biggest problem with this hotel is the pools, myself and my sister really enjoyed them on the days we stayed at the hotel, they were fresh and clean however my mother and aunt don't swim and the pools are too deep for non swimmers. Almost 5 feet is too deep for a lot of people to be comfortable in and several people told us they felt out of their depth and so just sat on the edge of the pool. We ended up going to the beach (which was great) but it was because we didn't really have any other choice.
All in all had a lovely time at this hotel, its nice but nothing more - I wouldn't return here as there are too many other hotels in better locations to visit in Gran Canaria.
If you have booked this hotel you will have a lovely time, you'll enjoy it all the more it you are a tall swimmer :-)

The hotel was located at a very central spot (close to "Las Burras" beach, which is a very nice beach) and there were several buses available to "Playa del Ingles" and "Faro de Maspalomas".
The hotel facilities were great, the room was big, cosy and clean. The restaurant was very nice too, the esplanade is ideal to drike a cocktail in the evening and don't forget to enjoy the night animation!

The staff was impecable, me and my boyfriend had a wonderfull time at this hotel!

The only negative remark that I can do is about the food: could have more variety and quality (specially at the dinner time).

Had an absolutely fantastic holiday here. We stayed 2weeks with 3 children aged 13mths, 4&6in a family room which are great as kids have own bedroom. The staff are brilliant, food lovely, good variety, restaurant very clean, waiters attentive, wine/cocktails,beer etc al served properly and all very nice. Animation team great with kids, plenty to do and disco was much fun for them, tho mine chose to swim most of time. Evening entertainment was bit cheesy sometimes but that's what I expect, but nothing was too bad. Nice quiet location, easy access to maspalomas tho with short cheap taxi ride, never used bus. Spa was fantastic, would recommend treatments, however ladies be prepared that their are male therepists, which threw me a little, but have to say massage was best i ever had.Overall a Fab holiday "(and I'm hard to please) so will definately go back sometime.
