“august '12”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 7, 2012

Arrived at 8.45 pm was told to go and get something to eat before they stopped serving at 9pm. Which was good. Got to room and only 2 single beds when we had me my husband and granddaughter, they put a extra bed in for the night and moved us next day to the apartments which had kitchen with full sized fridge so could buy loads of water. Staff were very helpful with anything we needed or wanted to know. Plenty of room at the pool. Will go back no problems very clean. Cleaning staff very friendly. Had a good stay.

Room Tip: Sits on a hill

“Casablanca hotel”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 6, 2012

Just arrived back from the Casablanca,we arrived at 11.30pm the receptionist asked if we wanted a plate of food he would get one made up for us (a first). We were given a room on the top floor over the restaurant so we could not see the pool but had a sea view. The food was adequate enough breakfast was excellent all the usual stuff, dinner was a bit different lots of choice but they never told you what was & a bit of a mish mash. Lots of eastern Europeans in the hotel who like to be first to everything. The pool area is very big & shared with the apartments next door plenty of beds not many umbrellas. The pool area is down quite a few steps (54) so this hotel is not for anybody with walking difficulties. One other downside is even though we had a balcony which didn't get any sun there are about 20 rooms which didn't have a balcony at all just a sliding window with railings. Our room was cleaned every day & clean towels everyday also.I've tried to be as honest as I can we go to Santa Ponsa regular but I don't think we would stay here again.

Room Tip: Email and ask for a room with a balcony

“August 2012”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed August 29, 2012

great hoel in the quieter area of Santa Ponsa, the distance to the beach depends on whether you turn left or right out of the apartment/hotel doors. We stayed in the apartments, they were kept vey clean with essential air con (40 degrees plus) the hotel food was a good standard with ample choice however if you fancy eating out Fat Sams( patience required very popular always a wait) Scottish Corner absolutely excellent family bar, very safe for the children with free bouncy castle and excellent expert assistance from very helpful staff nothing too much trouble. The pool areas for both the apartments and the hotel very clean always ample sunbeds even in August. I think my only complaint would be that there are various nationalities staying in the hotel who are often very rude and tink nothing about knocking you out of the way to get to where they want to be!!!! Santa Ponsa beach lovely clean and child friendly. Waterpark in Magaluf a good day out however be aware the sunbeds are 3.50EU each to hire, the inflatables are 12.50 EU + 4EU deposit (we didnt bother it doesnt speed things up that much) all on top of the admission charge however an enjoyable day out.
All in all a fab holiday and we will be returning :)

Room Tip: Pool View nice and quieter than road views

“terrible food !!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed August 21, 2012

we stayed at the casablanca for 11 days in july . When we arrived at hotel first impression was good . We had a lovley room on the 2nd floor with a balcony room was quite big . hotel was really clean pool area nice and plenty of sunbeds no gettin up at 6am for the "best spot" . The thing that let this hotel down was the food omg the food was terrible !!! breakfast was ok you could get by but the evening meal was rotten battered broccoli or battered cauli not my choice of food . Chicken cooked after breakfast at 9.45 then served for evening meal at 7 no not nice !!! no deserts left if went into your evening meal after 8 just half empty platters . Drinks in the hotel really expensive so never once stayed in hotel at night . Hotel in a really good spot not much walking to beach or nightlife .Would not stay in this hotel again but might stay in apartments next door because as i have said the only thing wrong with this hotel is the food and price of drinks .

Room Tip: we stayed in room 210 lovely room quite spacious . Under the dining room so if you liked a bit of a...

“Close to town, beach & everything else a bus ride away”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 17, 2012

I asked my 10 year old son how he would review the hotel, on our last day of a 7 day holiday in August 2012, and he said, "It was excellent, the pool was great, the food was lovely and if you go there you will never want to leave"!

Well, we did have a good trip and I personally couldn't really fault anything about our stay here. Our room was fairly standard (bathroom, shower, bath, 2 beds) and didn't overlook the pool but that didn't really matter. We had a balcony though (i think they all do) and the room was cleaned and made up every day. Breakfast and dinner here was always varied and we never struggled to find a table even at busy times. Staff were all very friendly and helpful.

The pool area was clean and tidy and always possible to get a sunbed. There was a pool table and table tennis table outside to keep the kids amused. As well as a poolside bar.

The hotel is only a short walk to the beach, and the bus stop and taxi rank is also only a few minutes away. Buses into Palma are fairly frequent, every 15 minutes according to the timetable, but not always that regular. Magaluf is a 15 min bus ride away and costs €1.50. (€10 by taxi) Palma is 1 hour away by bus and is about €3 (€30 by taxi).

The best Waterpark is Western Waterpark just outside Magaluf (we also went to Aqualand but Western is better and more fun!). Half hour away by bus. 10 mins by taxi.

The hotel also has wifi which is charged at €15 per week. Although you can also pay by the day.

Santa Ponsa itself has a good beach and a good selection of shops. At night the main street comes alive with various market stalls and there are also plenty of bars. Although much quieter than Magaluf!

All in all a great hotel at an affordable price that I would have no hesitation in visiting again, either as a family or as a couple.

Room Tip: Ask for a room overlooking the pool if possible. But it won't spoil your trip if you don't.
