“Great value for money”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed December 30, 2012

Staff where really friendly nothing too much trouble. Apartments where really clean and spacious and hotel grounds kept really nice and clean. Heated swimming pool was an added bonus as alowed us to swim in November. A good choice of drinks in teh all inclusive range including cocktail list. Food was really nice and dining area kept spotless staff very friendly. Overall hotel was really good value for money and would recommend it to any of our friends and family. Once again thanx to all teh staff for making it a great holiday. A mini bus was laid on approx every hour to take you down to the beach which was really good.

My husband and I both had a great time but sleeping in our room in July it was a horrible experience with just a fan. I woke up every night in a sweat and could not go back to sleep and it affected my day and had to sleep at the beach. Food was good although a little repetitive, but that happens in all hotels.

We're just back from a late holiday to Club Santa Ponsa, we went November 20th - 27th. We got a taxi from the airport to the door of the hotel which cost 38 Euros. The hotel is excellent, it's very clean and the maids are in 5 days a week. The staff in the hotel are all very friendly, down to earth and won't hesitate to help you with any questions. We went all inclusive and we were pleasantly surprised, the drink measures were huge and there is a good selection of cocktails along with everything else you expect in a bar. The food was excellent, the buffet was different every night and there was a good selection including everything from chips and chicken to local Spanish food and fish. There was also beer, wine and fizzy drinks that you could help yourself to at meal times. Even in November, there was 15 of us down in the 5-aside pitches playing football one afternoon so the staff are always doing there up most to make your holiday as enjoyable as possible. It was still over 20 degrees during our holiday but a few days were very overcast and that's where the hotel were genius... They have an 'indoor' pool which was warm and still very enjoyable. The hotel is a 5-10 minute walk down the hill to the center of Santa Ponsa with local supermarkets even closer. The views from the hotel down to the bay are also amazing. Would defiantly go back and highly recommend it to anyone.

We went for a short break in Nov 12.

The staff are very friendly and their service standards are very good. They didn't challenge the behavior of some of the other holiday makers, some of which became beyond irritation, especially with a free bar. Luck of the draw I suppose

We found the apartments a little dated but OK and clean, however there was no aircon in our apartment so imagine it would be hot in the summer.

There are very good views of the surrounding area and a free bus to the local town ( which for the most part is totally closed this time of years) it isnt a long walk but the return walk will certainly take you breath away and help you burn off the extra calories from the buffett! the local town looks ok but was shut for the most part. Local beach is clean and sandy with relatively shallow water. Would look good for kids but imagine it will be busy in season

The pool was clean and there was a lifeguard on duty with a separate children pool. It was partially covered which means even if the weather inst good you could still swim out of the elements

We went All inclusive. The drinks are all local spirits which is variable in its quality ( the brandy is truly a taste sensation, but not in the good way) The beer is served in a annoyingly small glass. The bar also closes at 11pm

The food is ample and reasonable, hardly a taste experience. Beer, wine and soft drinks are available, again the glasses for beer are tiny. I chose the hotel because the reviews on food and drink were good. I suppose its what you are used too. We found the food ok, nothing to complain about, but it was just that- OK. They do offer packed lunches which is useful if you want to go out and about

It was advertised as evening entertainment- there was non whilst we were there

One thing to be wary about, you have to be out of the room at 12 and if you are on all inclusive that's when your all inclusive stops. They do provide somewhere to put your bags but in our case we were not flying to 9pm in the evening. This wasn't made clear when we booked and with nothing open locally we were kind of stuck. The hotel allowed us to have our lunch there as we arrived after lunch on the first day. Thankfully I had some Euros but if you go out without money and you have a late flight- you will be very left hungry and thirsty!

Overall it was OK. I'm not sure I would want to spend two weeks there, especially if there are large groups of inconsiderate holiday makers there in the winter, as there simply isn't anywhere to escape to. Dont be expecting a luxury escape, it simply isnt that but if want somewhere which is functional, clean and reasonable value and if you get a good price then this will be ok for you

Room Tip: sea view apartments have your own balcony with sun loungers, the others dont. If you have a proble...

This is our second visit for a short winter break and this time we stayed between 22 and 25 November. The hotel is a little dated, but I still found this quite charming. We had apartment 101, which is the lowest and furthest away apartment there is. We were concerned about the amount of steps, but as we were only there for 3 nights and we need the exercise, we stuck it out (although we did park near to the room & drove up to the hotel a couple of times!). It was quite funny to spot the newbies trying to work out where their room was from the map (that included us). In spite of the dated appearence, the hotel is one of the cleanest I have been in. There was not a mark on the walls or furniture and the room was spotless.
The hotel is not large and has to cater for various nationalities, mainly English and German, but I think they generally do a great job with the food given these restrictions. If you are a very fussy British food eater, you may have a restricted choice, but we enjoy trying different foods. The chefs often stood out in the restaurant so you could ask any questions if you were not sure. The restaurant staff are friendly and efficient and keep the restaurant clean and tidy and there is a nice outside area to eat.
The indoor bar is a bit like a social club, but we had a laugh and everyone got on and chatted to one another. The bar closed dead on 11 and you then have to sit on the terrace. This is a great place to sit at any time of the day chilling with a drink and enjoying the fabulous views over the bay (the up side to the hill top location). The wi fi is free in the main areas, often not even the case in more expensive hotels. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. At this time of year it was all hands to the pump and even the lifeguard did a bit on the bar. All in all we had another great stay at this friendly little hotel. Many people were returners and we intend to make this a regular little out of season treat. Big up to the Liverpool girls.

had a great time, rooms large with up stairs with terrace over looking the beautiful bay cleaned most days with regular fresh towels and sheets If you did'nt: allready know there are quite a few steps on the complex where we were, but no problem to us.Food was very good lots of choice allways hot, great salads with mussels, mini pies, sliced meats ect. loads out door eating. Entertainment was ok but we can take it or leave it. all inclusive drinks ,good measures usual local brands sometimes a que at the bar but not for long, limited seating at times but when restaurant closes theres all the room you need chilling and over looking over the bay . It was the first time we had been to santa ponsa we thought it was really nice, compact, lots of bars, restaurants, large beach we were there early sept when the week long festival was on with live bands, street markets, marching bands ect, well worth going at this time of year. Santa ponsa club is up a hill but still a pleasant strole lots of shops bars ect on the way.15mins to the beach quicker by using the steps.overall good hotel great resort, will go back again we paid £550pp for 11 days we thought that was Quite cheap?
