“A great hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 20, 2012 via mobile

We enjoyed our vacation in Delfin very much. Rooms are great + staff are polite and it was close to the beach. Hotel has no entertainment but there is a lot happening in the area. Around the corner you will find a Karaoke bar that is lot of fun.

Great hotel for a very quiet and relaxing holiday in Santa Ponsa. Rooms are better than most 4 star hotels we have been to and cleaners do a great job. Also not many kids around which makes it more attractive for couples like us.

We (my wife and I) stayed here in mid July and I have to say I thoroughly enjoyed it. If you are from the home countries (UK and Ireland) and are only prepared to converse with UK or Irish people and only eat food that is typical of UK and Ireland then just stay at home. If you make the effort to converse with people you will find that whether they are Italian, Spanish or German their English is as good as yours. The myth that Germans do not have a sense of humour is nonsense,by the way, as we found two really witty German friends from our week's stay. The Italians too were very funny. Sure enough the two biggest moaning Minnies were an English couple being doggedly determined to feel as miserable as possible until I told them that I didn't come on holidays to listen gripes and fair enough to them they luaghed and giggled throughout the rest of the holiday. The food was absolutely superb - we certainly gained a few pounds although the healthy options were very much on show. The staff could not have been more helpful and the staff at the pool bar were very witty. Our room was clean and comfortable. Yes entertainment was very much geared for the Italians and as they were the predominant nation then why not ? We quite enjoyed trying to figure out what they were saying, getting it totally wrong and the Italians telling us what exactly was being said. However if this is not your bag then there was plenty of entertainment throughout the town and the hotel didn't close. The other side of town is quite noisey as most of the late night bars and night clubs (although I only spotted one) are at that end of town. The entertainment at our hotel and neighbouring hotels finished at midnight so we had no problem sleeping. We would go back here any time and thoroughly recommend it. ps if you drop a euro or two into the tip box in the dining room or at the bar occasionally the staff do notice and you do get the extra attention.

Room Tip: Top floor on the corner - you get a nice cooling breeze.

This hotel is perfect for a couple that want to go out in the evenings but relax by the pool during the day. The food was nice and they had a large selection of meats, pastas, salads and of course chips served all the time! There was always room to sit and eat and although they did not offer packed lunches if you want to go out for the day, you can sneak food out easily enough. All in all was a lovely holiday! Only negative would be that the hotel was not very english and every day activities held were uncomprehensible.

Room Tip: Try to get a room away from the pool as night entertainment held there and have no chance in sleepig...

This hotel offers allinclusive, but when you arrive it actually isnt allinclusive as you are treated like a tramp on the street when you ask for a drink. The staff look down their noses at you and make you drink from plastic glasses, even though you are siting inside the hotel. You can only have coffee that has been made up since morning as expresso etc are not allinclusive. These are made fresh for everyone except the allinclusive guests who have to drink the rot that has been sitting in a jug since morning. The bar is unattended for most of the time so if you want a drink it is nearly impossible. The bedrooms are two single beds which is not good for couples. The spa facilities were broken when i was there, but if you wanted to use them it was E5.00 per person to sit in the sauna!!!!!!!!!!!!! The food is rubbish on a plate, although we paid for allinclusive we ate out as the food was dirt. Avoid this place like the plague unless you have no standards. THIS IS A KIP, A DUMP, A HELLHOLE ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGH. One last piece of advice just dont do it.

Room Tip: dont stay there

We booked an all inclusive 10 night stay. The hotel did not cater for English guests. The whole animation team were Italien and made no attempt to speak English. Each night we didnt not understand a word that was being said and we were totally miserable. We had to go out every night and were not able to take full advantage of the all inclusive programme. This is not a good hotel if you have children that dont understand english. Appart from the dark depressing rooms and dark hall ways in dire need of a makeover steer clear

It´s a good average hotel, definitely not 4* hotel.

Hotel - nice and clean, standard equipment in the lobby - no fresh flowers, paintings or else. Neither style nor idea.
Double rooms are large enough only for 1 person, triple rooms are not better.
Furniture and equipment was clean and in a good condition, but don´t expect any decoration like paintings etc.
TV was very small, remote control for deposit (unusual for 4*).
Rooms with "pool view" - don´t expect any privacy :-)
Bathroom - sanitary without maintenance, should be changed.

Pool - very nice a very clean with small pool bar (but adequate)
Animation - only in Italian language.

Dining hall - very nice and clean. But damaged equipment like tables (should be changed) as well as unpolished or dirty glasses are not acceptable, even for 2* hotels.
Food:
Breakfast - always the same but great selection, however very bad coffee and scrambled eggs.
Lunch and diner: very good, fish incl. (maybe not salty enough for me).
Drinks - Spanish alcohol or Cola etc for all incl, except espresso coffee.

Santa Ponsa, however, is a quite place, so don´t expect any nightlife like disco.
If you want stay in Santa Ponsa, there are better hotels. Especially for solo travelers.
Depends on price, of course.
