The hotel is a 5 min walk to the beach in a lovely quiet area, there are two supermarkets next to it for all the essentials. 
Rooms are clean and tidy, balcony with view onto the pool and bathroom is a little tired. 
Pool is lovely and gets the sun until after 6pm, the sun loungers have seen better days but there are always free ones and the pool is quiet and relaxing.
The staff are lovely, although service is a little slow as they are manning the reception and bar.
Overall a great place to stay out of thr way of the noisy centre but only a very very short walk to the beach and restaurants. 

going by the other reviews that i had read, was not sure about this hotel, anyway arrived on saturday 25th august and was pleasantly surprised it looked nice from the outside, we went into the reception and spoke to the guy who was there he seemed nice, but our room was not ready at this time, so went into the lounge area it was nice very big, had a look at the pool area it was a bit small but ok and it was clean, not like the other people said that it was dirty, i watched the big tall guy clean it every morning from my balcony for the 2 weeks we were there, got to our room it it was adequate 2 single beds+built in wardrobe with a safe, and bathroom was nice, also had balcony overlooking the pool, we went half board breakfast was good plenty of bacon,eggs, cereal, bread, yogurt fresh fruit and other things, our evening meals were good aswell, I am a very fussy eater but i ate a lot of the meals and soup and puddings, and the lady chef was really nice and cheerful, as for manuell he was so nice, and the lady with the blonde hair who helped us a lot with different things, myself personally i thought the staff were nice and friendly, and i also made some new friends at the hotel, margo+tom, helen+ian, and of course bud from ireland he was so nice and such a great laugh, yeah there was a couple of nights with some noise coming from the hallways that was people out enjoying themself thats what holidays are all about having fun and enjoying yourself, i stay in a high flat and its more noisier here than the hotel we staid in, getting back to the hotel, we liked it, paid 20 euro for tv+air-condition but got that back the morning we left and they both worked, paid 20 euro for safe for 2 weeks got 5 euro back, that is normal for safes, now the beach was brilliant so was the night life, there's something for everyone at santa ponsa, and yes i would go back to the pinns hotel, had a great time, thankyou everyone x

I realy dont know why people complain about the PINS, we had a great time and met some lovely people ( the non moaners ). The staff were brill and couldn't be more obliging. The manager & manageress, (Angel & Michelle) were so good to us. My wheelchair was left in the office as lifts are small, at the insistance of Angel, what a lovely man. The food was ok for us, (im picky ) and a good choice given, we were 1/2 board. we got to know all the staff by name wich was so nice, Nadia has the most wonderful smile, she is mostly in the dinningroom.

The beach is 5 mins away as are shops & rest. Most days we went to The Watering Hole ( go to bottom of rd turn left, cross, pass Marlon Brando statue, turn left , its a few premises down ) For 3e a day you have the use of there garden pool with sunloungers. The drinks & food are very cheap. Its also very clean.

We hope to return to the PINS next year .

To sumerise, The Santa Ponsa Pins is a 2* getaway, no worse than any 3*/4* hotel but at budget prices, go for it.

We are a couple in our forties, kind of worried about the reviews on here but the hotel is a 2 star and it was a last minute cheap holiday. The rooms are basic and dated, rooms and corridors in need of a paint, but if you are looking for a cheap place to sleep, its fine, the beds were fairly comfy and clean the towels changed as we needed,shower was powerful and hot. please dont write bad reviews for a 2 star hotel at a 2 star price, if you want more you have to pay for it. We had B&B the breakfasts were great, everything you could want, place needs freshened up no doubt but if you are only using it as somewhere to shower and sleep then its fine! The beach is fab and we spent every day there, it was the festival last week when we were there, some attraction every night, it was relly great, never frequented the younger livlier side but never saw any trouble, Great holiday and cant wait to go back. Would i stay at the pins again..................... yes probably if im looking for a cheap hol, though a fridge would help. Very friendly helpfull staff, though manuel didnt give us our wake up call which could have caused us to miss our coach, but they offered to pay a taxi for us( which we didnt take as we had enough time to get the bus) but they offered.
