We are a family of 4, 2 boys age 8&3 and have just returned from a 12 night All Inclusive stay at the pirates village. We had a fantastic holiday and would highly recommend it. It is a 3 star hotel and if you go expecting a 3 star hotel you will have a great time as def one of the best we have stayed in. If you're looking for a 4/5 star hotel at 3 star prices, then go elsewhere.
The pool area is fantastic, although as others have said the sunbed situation does get a little ridiculous but we never had a problem all being together where we wanted to be. The slides at the pool are great for all ages even adults..the daytime entertainment, aqua gym and Zumba, pool basketball etc are all great fun, they also do yoga, archery, darts, football etc so there is always something to do if you want to. I recommend getting swim shoes for kids as they can get cut feet running up and down the stairs to the slides. I bought them for 7.50 euros in a supermarket near the beach and def worth it, also stops them slipping if running too and from pool etc.
The snack bar is really handy and A/I includes burgers, chips, hotdogs and toasties or you can go inside to the main restaurant and have salad, pizza, chips, chicken, fish etc Etc, i think they could maybe put some ham/cheese etc out at lunchtime too, to have with the baguettes/rolls if you don't want a hot meal at lunchtime but I usually just took a few rolls and some salad and bought ham and made them in apartment. The breakfast was fantastic, cereal, full English, cheese, ham, baguettes, rolls, toast lots of choice. Dinner was usually a choice of chicken, fish, beef, rabbit, shepherds pie, cooked ham, curry, rice, potatoes, salad, soup and plenty of desserts, for a fussy eater i always managed to find something to eat and the food was satisfactory. There is plenty of drinks, ice creams, slush puppies and ice lollies to be had throughout the day.
All the staff are AMAZING, very friendly and work exceptionally hard to please everyone, the pirates show twice a week was very entertaining and well done, they worked hard to involve the kids and adults. A few times they put on gangnam style and all the kids adults, staff etc were up dancing, even the general manager took part, it was great fun and kids loved it. Very nice touch.
The apartments are basic and I think if you were s/c you would struggle for workspace but this didn't affect us being A/I. The beds were very comfy and tbh we only slept in the apartment as there was always so much to do you were out all day/night so the were more than adequate.
The kids club was fantastic, they done face painting, drawing, dancing, computers, games, bouncy castle etc, all the kids loved it and Ellie and Jasmine were fantastic. The evening entertainment was always excellent, always something different and always good, we met loads of lovely people and the kids had a fantastic time, there is an Xbox in reception and computer and there is an arcade at the back with lots of games for the kids to play.
There is a supermarket across the road but if you come out hotel and turn right there is another much cheaper one at top right hand side of the road called Eroski.
The beach is a 5 minute leisurely stroll away and worth a visit..
Overall we had a great holiday and I can honestly say we got more than we expected from a 3 star hotel, the staff and entertainment team make it a memorable place and we had a very enjoyable, fun holiday.
