Stayed at Bahia Del Sol - From the 20-27th Oct 2012. (Two young ladies traveling)
Beautiful Hotel, around a 1hr journey from the airport but bearing in mind we was on a transfers bus so it may be a quicker journey going straight. Huge hotel with a lovely fountain in front extremely clean and well locked after.
We arrived at the hotel late after a flight delay but this wasn't an issue , given a set of keys and a hand drawn map of how to get to our hotel room it was at the back of the second building and you had to take two lifts to get to the room (361) this wasn't a problem for us but i did hear complains from another guest as she was unable to find her room.
Room was small but spacious enough for two ladies for the week, two single beds, nothing to fancy the worlds tiniest and oldest TV which was confirmed to us from the maintenance man that walked into the room and asked "where is your TV" even though the tiny box on the wall was in front of him - one English station out of 14 basically I'd read the reviews before about this being a hotel that caters to German people it wasn't until i tried to watch the TV and read the room manual that i saw that this is actually very true.. The English couple we stayed next door to had the same issue and the same thoughts on this.
Fridge in room, only discovered because we had lost something and was looking everywhere it looks like a normal cupboard! We went bed and breakfast so it was nice to have our own fridge :)
Balcony is a good size but be careful as the door self locks from the outside lol and you will have no way of contacting reception if you placed in a room that we were in.
Bathroom, lovely clean towels brought and changed daily.
Breakfast:Nice food, continental and Hot food :) we only made it to breakfast twice in the week
The hotel it self has around 4 pools i think all good sizes, they have a beautiful sauna and indoor pool and jacuzzi (free just ask at reception for a token) lovely chilled out spa area :)
They also have a gym (that we never used) and a Tanning bed but being born with dark skin we didn't need this lol :)
Overall this was a lovely hotel, like i said they did favor the German guest more.
The only gripe was for the whole week we was there we was unable to get an Iron, even though we called first thing in the morning and asked last thing walking in at night which most times was after 2am but still no iron they kept directing us to their laundry services which came with a fee but besides that i don't really have any complaints about this hotel.
Nice hotel and will return in the future.
