We went to Santa Ponsa. On the third day of scintilating offerings of ribs and chips, bolognese and chips, chips and chips etc, we Tripadvisored what would be considered a GOOD restaurant in Santa Ponsa. This one came up as No 2.
Compared to all the other restaurants in Santa Ponsa - it was modern, had clean lines, and well spaced tables. Service was excellent, and a little extra in a lemon chello shot as an after meal treat. Good menu, if very traditional. BUT, that would possibly pander to the clientele that frequents Santa Ponsa. They're not gonna appreciate a savoury, green Pardesi or Palak Paneer. So, if you want a Rogan Josh, a Dopiaza or a Madras - this is the place to go. We ordered the Dihwalla Chicken because it was the most unusual item on the menu. It came tomato soup coloured and was fairly bland. The Tarka Dal was good...but the Brinjal was fairly bland. We had a starter each and one meat dish and two veg dishes. The Nan bread appeared to be kind of tough...not fluffy like Nan usually is.
It should be noted that this was the restaurants first weekend open for the season.
We were grateful for the restaurant being there - we were getting curry-withdrawals - but I just can't rate it as highly as everyone else seems to do on here.
