We took our 2 children to this hotel in March 2013 and it was one of the best 3 star hotels that we have stayed in but not all of the facilities were open.
The swimming pool area was closed which we weren't aware of this before booking. If we'd have known this we wouldn't have booked as my children were very upset. Checking in took over 15 minutes so there were sometimes long queues if there were group reservations which was inconvenient if you just had a simple question. Our TV had no remote control which was annoying.
On a positive note, the hotel was clean, the staff were friendly, it was in a good location with regards to the beach, shops, crazy golf, restaurants etc. Out of season the area was incredibly quiet and some bars were empty but we found a few nice ones in the area. In season I can imagine the area attracts quite a few 'Brits Abroad' types. The hotel didn't seem to have those types of people in when we stayed though.
The entertainment was varied and everyone seemed to enjoy themselves, the bar was reasonably priced and the breakfast was good. Breakfast was a buffet which served most things; from fruit, yoghurts and cereal to omelettes, continental breakfast and fry ups!
We didn't eat any other meals there so I can't comment on them unfortunately.
The pool area looked nice and they were painting it whilst we were there. There was a children's play area and club too which looked ok. The Jacuzzi was nice but if you want to use it to relax, it's probably best to go when the pool is open as there were lots of children in it.
I'd possibly go back but when the pool was open. It should be made clear if it will not be open when booking though. The train station was about 15 minutes walk away and it took about an hour to get into the centre of Barcelona and, depending on the time and train company, only cost €8 each.

Thank you very much for your comments. We are glad to see that you had quite a good time with us. I would like to say that the pool was closed because of the weather, and we took the decision to open it for the main days of Easter because the temperatures had gone up. As far as TV is concerned, we have all the remote controls at the reception desk and guests can take them leaving a deposit that we give back at the end of the stay when our guests bring them back.
Regarding the rest of your comments, I'd like to say that we hope to see you soon again so you can enjoy the pool and if you choose Half Board or Full Board you will realise that lunch and dinner keep the same standards as breakfasts do.
