These apartments have just what you need and nothing more. Stayed for a week and when we checked in we had to pay a 75euro deposit and the a further 28 for a safe but we did get 85euro back on check out but would of rather i knew before arrival. The room was very small and when i mentioned this to reception they laughed and said four people stay in these rooms. I would not like to see that as it was 3 single beds with a fourth under one of the beds then a little table and the kitchen in the wall. The balcony was very big about the same size of the apartment and was over where the night time entertainment was which meant it was quiet loud but was usually over by the time we came back. Would not stay here again but the hotel part looked quiet nice.

Room Tip: Stay in the hotel instead

My boyfriend and I wanted a cheap room only getaway for only 5 nights. At check-in, we had to pay a deposit of €75 for the room which we received back when we checked out and we paid for a safety deposit box €28 where we got €10 deposit back. We found it a bit frustrating at first as we weren't aware of the deposit for the room. Our room was basic with all the facilities you would need for self catering. Our balcony was large and often had a few ants on there but this was swept daily from the maids and we made sure to leave the balcony door shut if we were outside the room or in. For what we wanted the room for (showering and sleeping), the apartment was perfect. We never really used the facilities in the hotel but we went by the pool once for a swim and a drink. The pool was a nice size and the drinks were ok prices. We spent most of our time on the strip eating and drinking out which was only 5 minutes from our apartments. We found places a lot cheaper for drinks and always came back late. The hotel entertainment was good and catered for the older people who looked like they were really enjoying themselves. Our room was situated above the entertainment and was quite loud but we always came back late so noise wasn't an issue to us. For what we wanted, the apartment was perfect. For those with families, staying at the actual hotel would probably be better.

I spent 3 nights in the apartments with a 9 yr old and an 11 yr old. The apartments themselves are basic but perfectly adequate for the price. They are clean, beds are comfortable, the bathroom is fine (toiletries not bad at all) and the kitchenette is good (kettle, microwave, hob, fridge, plates, etc). The location is good - a walk to/from everything with a bus to PortAventura from the end of the street.
We ate breakfast in the hotel each day and it was very good - a huge selection to suit pretty much all tastes. The only negative was the really awful coffee.
The stay however was marred by the complete lack of any sound barrier between the apartments or from outside noise.
On check in we were allocated a room which opened up on to the bar, a strange allocation for a group including children. I went back to reception to ask that we be allocated another room. The receptionist seemed confused as to why this would be necessary and said she'd have to ask the manager which she did and we were allocated a room one floor above, over the bar this time! Each evening until midnight a crooner catering for an older clientele belted out songs until midnight on the terrace at the front of the hotel - he may as well have been sitting at the end of the bed so loud was the noise drifting through our closed balcony doors. After the first night we didn't bother coming back to the room until close to midnight as it would have been impossible to sleep.
I don't think there was anyone in the adjacent rooms for some of the time; or they were out a lot. When there was someone in the adjacent room it again sounded as if they were in the room with us. If I was traveling with younger children I would have been tearing my hair out.
Other reviews also point out the noise issues. As I was traveling just out of season I suspect my time in Marinada was quieter than it was for those there in July and August. If they deal with the soundproofing I would happily return. Otherwise probably not. I definitely would not stay there with small children.

Room Tip: Not sure if it will help with noise problem but try asking for a room overlooking the back of the ho...

We arrived to our apartment which was spotless and everyday it was cleaned and new towels were provided which was brilliant! The hotel is located just off the main strip so we didn't need to get a taxi anywhere! The apartments only have a small pool but hotel just across the road have a lovely pool which we were allowed to use everyday! The only fault is the massive group of students that arrived on our 4th day! They were very ignorant they didn't care about anyone but themselves and the acted like they were the only people in the place! we woke up one mornin to them screaming at the cleaning ladies they had no respect for their rooms at all! Both my boyfriend and i are students and we love to go and have a good time but you have to respect the people around you! My boyfriend complained 3times one night between 2am and 7am and the security guard asked them to be quiet but the minute he left they got louder and louder! The students then knew it was us complaining and every night as they came home they would kick and bang on our door! This was very scary and annoying more than anything! We probably had bad timing as salou seemed to be full of Spanish students at the time and they all left the same day as us! If there students weren't there too annoy us then it would have been perfect!

Brilliant! Cleaned every day with fresh towels and apartments had everything you needed. Pool and facilities at the apartments and hotel were excellent. Very good for such a cheap price.

We have just arrived back form a week here and have to say it was clean and basic and the location was fine but the surrounding hotel at the back of the apartments was soo loud until aftre midnight it was hard work with a 3 year old in towe. Also be aware of guests who have no consideration for other as the shout and scream through the night and early morning so once you are asleep you are gauranteed more than a few wake up calls not the hotels fault but still you would think they could put guest with children away from the party goers!

Room Tip: if you room is on the back of the apartments asked to be moved to the front the noise at the back is...

my wife and i are just back from here and just like a previous review we thought we had booked the hotel but soon discovered we were in the aparthotel across the road. After checking our room we tried to get an upgrade to the hotel {which we were willing to pay for} but were told that nothing was available.Anyway we decided to forget about it and just enjoy our holiday. The cleanliness could not be faulted and the maids gave us as many towels as we wanted. We had great meals every night eating in the temple bar, the guinness tavern and the dubliner in la pineda.Overall a great time but for an extra few euro we would stay in the hotel next time
